Red Hen owner Stephanie Wilkinson kicked Sarah Huckabee Sanders and her family out of her restaurant because she works for President Donald J. Trump. We've seen the news on this, the posts on Yelp, Facebook, etc. Well, there is more. Stehpanie Wilkinson is Executive Director of Main Street Lexington, which strives to promote business in downtown Lexington, Virginia. This is Rockbridge count, which voted 62.4% for Trump! I think we need to bring Wilkinson's bigotry to the attention of the bigger community and see if they back her or Trump.
Main Street Lexington needs emails and phone calls to hear our displeasure:
- Main Street Lexington email info@mainstreetlexington.org and phone is (540) 319-4181.
- Here are the folks: https://www.mainstreetlexington.org/who-we-are.html
- Stephanie Wilkinson, Executive Director, swilkinson@mainstreetlexington.org
- Lots of names on their staff and board, but the rest go to info@mainstreetlexington.org.
My message: "Are all organizations as bigoted as Red Hen? Should we boycott just them or the whole downtown and city of Lexington?"
And more! Go through their pages and reach out to her membership and neighbors. Are they all bigoted and do they support her? A quick glance at pages shows the following sponsors, partners, and members that should be contacted:
- Corner Stone Bank (J. Steven Grist, grists@cornerstonebankva.com)
- Kendal at Lexington (retirement community, no local contact)
- Rick Alford realtor (rick@rickalfordteam.com)
- Lexington Collaboratory (lexmakerspace@gmail.com)
- Cocoa Mill Chocolate Co (Laura de Maria, info@cocoamill.com)
- Flex Fitness (Wndy Orrison, orrisonw@gmail.com)
- Lexington General Store & Deli (Jonathan Tarris, jbtarris@gmail.com)
- Sugar Maple Trading Co (Cindy Hughes, cindy@sugarmapletradingcompany.com)
- Jamrock Island Grille (Devon Hewitt, jaman839@gmail.com)
- Kelly's Persian Food (Kereshmeh Kashefian, kelly.persian.food@gmail.com)
- Whistle Creek Treats (Eric Lynn, whistlecreektreats@gmail.com)
- Gladiola Girls Lexington (Lauren Haskell, lauren@gladiolagirls.com)
- Katherin Barron clothing (inquiries@katherinebarron.com)
- Red Newt Bike (Dave Walsh, dave@bestofvirginiabiketours.com)
- Lexrock Productions (Katrina Broughman, katrina@boxerwood.org)
- Shendandoah Organics (JuLee Messerich, julee.messerich@gmail.com)
- Heliotrope Brewery (Jenny Davies & Erik Jones, jeneferdavies@comcast.net)
- Make It Sew (Accacia Mullen, accacia@makeitsewva@gmail.com)
- Lex Running Shop (Jess Reid, reidljessica@gmail.com)
- Just Games Lexington (Zander Tallman, zandertallman@yahoo.com)
Got a few minutes, send them a polite email asking if they agree and support and appreciate the affiliation with Red Hen owner Stephanie Wilkinson. Should we boycott them as well?

Sent the following email but I don't know how polite they will thing it is.
'Nobody is going to take you or your organization seriously if you can't be civil to all of your customers including the ones whose politics you don't agree with including Mrs. Sanders.'

The bakers did not refuse service. It was the creative design they refused. Sarah was actually asked to leave and not receive service. Get it? I wish more people understood this. As owners of a bakery open to the public, they had an implied contract to serve anybody who could meet their terms ... that is, they would bake a cake, for an agreed-upon price. They couldn't legally refuse to bake a cake for a homosexual, or even a child molester, so long as the terms were abided by. But they had no obligation to add to the product written words that violated their moral sensibilities, something completely different than selling a cake for an agreed-upon price. There's no similarity between that case, and a restaurant refusing to serve a person on account of his political beliefs. I would not support any establishment that would do such a thing.

But the answer to this hypocrisy is not to just let them have it all their way, either. The fact is, they are forcing Christian businesses to support their agenda, while they are also forcing us out of their businesses. I agree that she should have who she wants there, but as long as her side is suing Christians into bankruptcy, all bets are off.

My dander is up because good people who are Christians have been financially ruined by these same people, her kind of people, and Id bet you real money that she supported it. Yes, I take the ruination of people whose only crime was to not be forced to help enact a message with which they profoundly disagreed, to the point of being sued for disagreeing to violate their consciences, quite seriously. The left does not care if we take the high road, they care if they get what they want. Nobody asked her to do anything which violated her principles of any kind, no one asked her to put a GOP elephant design on their food. But she kicked them out, and she wont be sued, and she wont lose her livelihood. No pain, and shell be a hero because the media supports her cause. The Christian businesses were forced to pay a real cost to not violate their principles, and they did pay it rather than violate their religious principles. Whats sauce for the goose needs to be sauce for the gander, because otherwise the left just doesnt care.

Ask them all to answer some pointed questions.
1) does your business prefer Trump employees NOT enter or engage in commerce
2) does your business feel the same about Trump supporters, who share the same values and positions as the Trump administration?
3) do you agree with the Red Hen that your business is fully justified in throwing out patrons because of political affiliation
4) are you going to go on record as condemning the Red Hen for its intolerance and hate
5) would you like to put a sign in your window telling all Trump people (employees and supporters) that you do not wish to engage in commerce with them
It would be interesting to see if a line is drawn, and where.

Bikers for Trump should have a run. Have a little din din at the Red Hen. Im just sayin.I like the way you're thinking!

They look like members of NYC Mayor Bill De Blasio's inner circle of friends and family.
Left them a simple yet civil email message.

I support President Trump. Is my business welcome in your establishment? Or is it only those working in his administration that are treated like pariahs, in your *cough* fair town?

Wilkerson is a total liberal. Went to Dartmouth for her undergraduate degree and then got a PhD from the University of Virginia in European and American Religious History. Apparently she can’t find a job in her chosen field.
She claims on her Linkedin page that her skills are social media, marketing and public relations! Really? Could have fooled me.

They denied a private citizen and threw her out, allowing the rest of her party to stay, after the owner drove to the restaurant from home, to interview the sexual peverts in the back.
Gratuitiously.
Vice signaling.
All the while preening over how "Love Trumps Hate."
I'd so go all "Joe the Plumber" on every last employee of the restaurant, and ALL their suppliers.
Put them out of business, put them into the streets to starve.
Or haven't you noticed what Peter Fonda wrote in public, what Kathy Giffords did?
They are encouraging murder of peaceful, lawful political opponents.
tl;dr == go friend yourself, in a deep and meaningful and very personal way.
And take George Will and Steve Schmidt with you.
