President Donald J. Trumps press secretary was thrown out of a Virginia restaurant because she works for the Trump administration.
Last night I was told by the owner of Red Hen in Lexington, VA to leave because I work for [President Trump] and I politely left, she tweeted. Her actions say far more about her than about me. I always do my best to treat people, including those I disagree with, respectfully and will continue to do so.
The Red Hen has been owned by Stephanie Wilkinson since 2008, according to a public records database.
Wilkinson and her co-founder John Blackburn are part of the leftist go green craze.
Our two main goals during renovation were to preserve the historic character of the building and update it in the most sustainable way possible, Blackburn told Virginia Living.
Curiously, nobody named Stephanie Wilkinson is registered to vote in Virginia.
The Red Hen has been taking a beating on Google Reviews since the news surfaced.
Based on the new report that that the manager asked a patron last night to leave because she worked for the POTUS, this is highly inappropriate, a Google user named Kimberly Mackie wrote. A business should never ask a customer to leave because of their job.
Well, it looks like this is the type of business that should be run out of business. I don’t care who you are, unless the customer is is causing a sceen, you CAN NOT force a customer to leave.
I doubt the owner even realizes that her little liberal college town of Lexington is in the center of Rockbridge County, which went 62.4% for President Trump. The seven counties surrounding Rockbridge County all went over two thirds for Trump, with nearby Bedford county going 72.5% for Trump. I predict she’ll go out of business soon.
The Trump curse be upon them.
The last time Democrats became this despicable, they started shooting (Fort Sumter), and before the shooting stopped (Appomattox), over 620,000 Americans lay dead.
Yes. I was a bit concerned for the help, too. But since they voted to be as hateful as their employer; no problem.
Dont boycott . Make reservation at 5 and eat resl slow
I get the rest of your post but I'd say the left has been around about 110 years. They've just ramped up the insanity in the last 10.
i’ve done that- three times today...
“””””’Wilkinson explained that shed been home when she got a call from her staff that Huckabee Sanders was dining at the restaurant, which at first had gone under the radar because shed booked the reservation using her husbands name. Wilkinson raced to the restaurant to deal with the issue.”””””
Raced to deal with the issue?????????
She’s nukken futs, Jim.

Restaurants: Right to Refuse Service
Do Restaurants Have the Unrestricted Right to Refuse Service?
No. The Civil Rights Act of 1964 explicitly prohibits restaurants from refusing service to patrons on the basis of race, color, religion, or national origin. In addition, most courts dont allow restaurants to refuse service to patrons based on extremely arbitrary conditions. For example, a person likely cant be refused service due to having a lazy eye.
But Arent Restaurants Considered Private Property?
Yes, however they are also considered places of public accommodation. In other words, the primary purpose of a restaurant is to sell food to the general public, which necessarily requires susceptibility to equal protection laws. Therefore, a restaurants existence as private property does not excuse an unjustified refusal of service. This can be contrasted to a nightclub, which usually caters itself to a specific group of clientele based on age and social status.
So Are “Right to Refuse Service to Anyone” Signs in Restaurants Legal?
Yes, however they still do not give a restaurant the power to refuse service on the basis of race, color, religion, or national origin. These signs also do not preclude a court from finding other arbitrary refusals of service to be discriminatory. Simply put, restaurants that carry a “Right to Refuse Service” sign are subject to the same laws as restaurants without one.
What Conditions Allow a Restaurant to Refuse Service?
There a number of legitimate reasons for a restaurant to refuse service, some of which include:
Patrons who are unreasonably rowdy or causing trouble
Patrons that may overfill capacity if let in
Patrons who come in just before closing time or when the kitchen is closed
Patrons accompanied by large groups of non-customers looking to sit in
Patrons lacking adequate hygiene (e.g. excess dirt, extreme body odor, etc.)
In most cases, refusal of service is warranted where a customers presence in the restaurant detracts from the safety, welfare, and well-being of other patrons and the restaurant itself.
“Sarah should be grateful. Had they served her, there probably would have been some kind of bodily fluid or cleaning fluid in her food”.
I said the same thing in another thread. This story is very juicy.
Liberals dont apologize, they rationalize.
Actually very month going forward till the place folds
Who is the Nazis now? Protests should be held here, No republican, Conservative, or freedom loving Americans should trade there. BOYCOTT, do all citizens can legally do to drive them out of business.
did they accept any state or federal grants for historic preservations? If they did, they may be in deep kimshee
My home town. It’s a liberal microcosm mainly due to the soon-to-be-renamed “Washington and Lee University” and also to an extent that might surprise some my Alma mater “Virginia Military Institute”, which is more liberal than when I was there.
If you actually work for a living and live there you are probably blue collar and do not live in the city limits.
This owner is proud of what she did. The article says Sarah tried to trash the restaurant and called it discrimination, neither of which is true. Sarah just tweeted what happened.
I KNEW IT! She’s a Carpetbagger Yankee from Massachusetts.
