President Donald J. Trumps press secretary was thrown out of a Virginia restaurant because she works for the Trump administration.
Last night I was told by the owner of Red Hen in Lexington, VA to leave because I work for [President Trump] and I politely left, she tweeted. Her actions say far more about her than about me. I always do my best to treat people, including those I disagree with, respectfully and will continue to do so.
The Red Hen has been owned by Stephanie Wilkinson since 2008, according to a public records database.
Wilkinson and her co-founder John Blackburn are part of the leftist go green craze.
Our two main goals during renovation were to preserve the historic character of the building and update it in the most sustainable way possible, Blackburn told Virginia Living.
Curiously, nobody named Stephanie Wilkinson is registered to vote in Virginia.
The Red Hen has been taking a beating on Google Reviews since the news surfaced.
Based on the new report that that the manager asked a patron last night to leave because she worked for the POTUS, this is highly inappropriate, a Google user named Kimberly Mackie wrote. A business should never ask a customer to leave because of their job.
the phone number now get a verizon intercept message. it’s been deactivated.
The left doesn’t know what it’s asking for.
I tried to write a negative review on Google and it was blocked!
I say just let that business get plucked, and build a Chick-Fil-A in its place.
Apparently, Stephie puts the “red” in Red Hen.
“sustainable”
A lot of us are waiting for them to feel froggy and jump.
Also, contact: Main Street Lexington 540-319-4181 to let them know bigotry is not acceptable.
The owner of the hate restaurant is reportedly the executive director of Main Street.
Mealy-mouthed apology from the owners by Monday, I’d assume.
“Curiously, nobody named Stephanie Wilkinson is registered to vote in Virginia.”
In case you missed it.
PLEASE this is IMPORTANT
Mark your calendar to call for a reservation, or to chat with the owner a month from now.
The owner has doubled down.
She of course has the right to do what she did. But in the end, it may prove unwise.
There is boiling rage in our nation and it’s often small moments that we look back on as turning points. Between this and John Brennan’s Twitter statement we’re at a scary point.
So she let the staff vote on it as well. Good - that makes me a lot less sorry about collateral damage when that place goes under.
Oh, yeah!
try Yelp. The restaurant is getting hammered there.
Brennan is not a very sympathetic figure. If he goes down, I don' think many people will rally in his support.
sustainable
The best thing they can due for ‘sustainability’ is close their doors, so that people don’t burn fuel to get there and they don’t burn fuel operating the place.
And given what they did, they may well achieve that goal.
