It seems that we have a few new technologies that becomes commonplace everywhere, and completely changes the world.
Here is roughly what I understand they have been call:
Late 50s to late 60s: television, rocketry
Late 60s to late 70s: (not sure, handheld calculators and digital watches? Cassette players?)
80s: the use of electronics everywhere, home PCS
90s: internet, pagers, cell phones appear
2000s fast internet, flip phones, digital photography, digital music
2010's: smartphones, social media, digital movies
I know those dates are not exact, but pretty close.
So what do you think the big technology trends that will change the world we live in the 2020s will be?
1. Cheap access to space. (SpaceX, Blue Origin).
2. Vertical Farming. (Malthusian’s lose forever)
3. Cheap, Clean Energy.
4. DNA Hacking. We can’t even begin to understand the implications.
ROPE!
Man can’t “create” anything. Man can only use what God has created and put something together.
Musk has Starlink internet with first launches next year.
It’s low altitude satellites so the lousy ping from other satellite providers is gone.
You’ll have fast internet anywhere in the world so you’re not stuck living/working in an urban area.
And fembots so you don’t have to worry about the real thing hauling you to family court and decimating your savings and income.
Basic reading, writing, arithmetic, and critical thinking. That’s like magic to the illiterate masses.
Directly linking neurons with digital electronics.
A God created the universe and earth, that's all. The rest was up to humanity.
But since you wish to become a semantic monkey, let me rephrase my original post:
Id love to be around in 100 years to see what man has been able to create MAKE......
There, does that make you feel better??? ..... Sheesh!
Hah. I don’t feel any better. Trudeau is still in, and we still don’t have pipelines going.
On a positive note, I do know God is in control.
Robot-produced and drone-delivered pizza.
We’ll need an electronic turbo guillotine when CW2 ends.
That is why every device is integrating a microphone.
3D Printing will be the third industrial revolution.
Our cars, airplanes, and houses will all be “printed”.
Human labor will be largely replaced by robots and 3D printers.
Medically, joints, limbs and organs will also be printed.
Being able to go to the lab and giving a tissue sample and having a new heart or whatever grown and installed a month or two later. No rejection or immunosupression drugs.
Agreed. Those anti-grav black triangles that the military has that people think are UFOs would make for great civilian transportation.
See that is where you are wrong. Mans free will is in control, that is why God create it if you believe in that sort of thing. And, according to the bible, that is why he destroyed most of it by flood, He couldn’t control mankinds free will.
The transistor, late 40s,really was the jumping off spot for much of it.
.
He has a plan. Whether or not we are part of it is up to our free will.
AI: and not this crap they have now.
Cancer mostly cured with genetic manipulation.
Energy from Thorium.
Warfare
Warp Drive.
That's beyond disgusting!
