History is repeating itself: NBC has again cancelled Timeless, TVLine has learned. Fans, though, should not yet give up all hope for some final closure.
Our sister site Deadline reports that NBC remains open to the possibility remote as it may be, given the logistics and financial imprudency of greenlighting a two-hour movie, to wrap up Season 2s tantalizing loose ends.
This is a sad day for the writers, actors, crew and especially the viewers of Timeless, co-showrunner Shawn Ryan shared on Twitter Friday. We are all extremely proud of what we made and know that it was more than just a show for so many of our fans. It became a passion and a cause for many of them.
If NBC is sincere in wanting a two-hour movie to give much needed closure to our amazing @NBCTimeless fans, we are ready to make it, he added. We dont want the journeys of Lucy, Wyatt, Rufus and the others to end yet.

Gotcha, my bad.
I think that was day off the jacket. This is Redford and dunaway. He’s a CIA analyst and he’s under suspicion and left out in the cold by a corrupted CIA (as always). It was very well done or the day. I think the current series is an updated version. I like the comparison. Tech is so much more advanced now.
My wife and I really got into Suits. But by the end of the third season it was no longer an awesome legal show and had become full blown soap opera. Bleh...
I was so disappointed I googled suits soap opera. The results proved I was not the only one that noticed it.
Imagine Band of Brothers as a multi season show rather than a ten part series.
Good riddance! Pathetic scripting... Pathetic acting!
Another network?
Shirley, you jest.
I remember when the SciFi channel showed SciFi eclusively. No more.
The science Channel showed Science. No more. The History channel showed history documentaries. No more.
If actual news has disappeared from TV and radio, why should well made entertainment (sans perversions ) evolve any differently?.
Heroes & Icons over the air TV is consistently better entertainment.
Pathetic post!
I watched that for the first time last November.
Agent Carter was cancelled partly due to the costs of that period stuff and whatever reproductions.
I liked that show a lot.
I’m still pissed that “Search” was canceled.......................in 1973. (starred Hugh Obrian)
I watched “The Event,” too.
Whenever I like a TV show it usually goes belly up.
Another show with a token black guy who travels back in time to unrealistic historical moments.
Good riddance. Make your TV shows realistic, without the racial pandering
Their going full homosexual right near the end of the season didn’t help.
Life had a real ending so it was good.
The worst part is they cancelled it just before the freaking “event”!
It was a good show until they turned it into a homo-promo.
I could have done without the plotline don’t get me wrong but she WAS a dyke. Would it have been better to have some poor sap married to some dyke who didn’t want him? She’d have ended up leaving him and messing up their kids lives “mommy why are you on the back of a motorcycle with that lady that’s dressed like a boy”?. Instead he was given the opportunity to have a real wife.
Doesn’t seem like Netflix or anyone is interested.
I don’t get it, they saved “Lucifer”. This show seems to have a far more virulent cult following.
Too bad. I hope they at least do make the movie so as not to end on a cliffhanger.
Damn
