Bill Gross got revenge on ex-wife with fart spray: court papers
New York Post ^ | 6/17/2018 | Carleton English

The bitter divorce battle between billionaire bond king Bill Gross and his ex-wife is beginning to stink — like vomit, flatulence and dead fish.

The California moneyman, who lost his beloved 13,819-square-foot Laguna Beach home to his ex-wife in the breakup, used foul-smelling sprays to leave the place a stinking mess — and placed dead fish in the air vents, a “disgusted” Sue Gross claimed in court papers last week.

Mrs. Gross, who won a temporary restraining order against Bill last week, has the evidence of his foul play — empty spray bottles in the trash cans...

In addition, security was hired for the house after Sue frequently appeared unannounced at the home and took items, the source said.

Among the items Sue took was a 1932 Pablo Picasso painting, worth $36.9 million, titled “Le Repos” — the result of splitting assets upon the divorce.

The painting was hanging, it is believed, in Bill Gross’ bedroom.

Rather than leave bare space on the wall, Sue replaced the Picasso with a replica she painted.

Divorces of the rich and famous.

Bond-God-Guru Bill Gross and his wife exchange nastiness.

"Gross" details. Kinda funny--they can afford it.

Bill's 70... this reads like a college-age prank-fest. He can afford this.

Something light at the beginning of what I hope is an exciting and revealing week in politics.

Divorces are funny. My BIL swore he would never wash a dish or interface with a dishwasher because that was woman’s work. He sure washed them after my sister left him.

Another friend’s husband told her she was not to do anything but clean house and watch the kids because he wasn’t going to do it. He’s doing both now.

I remember a story many years ago of the divorced husband, before leaving the house, put dead ?fish? in the expensive curtain rods. The house smelled, nothing they did seemed to work, so they put it up for sale at a low amount.

The ex bought the house from them, then fixed the problem.

I heard a story many years ago about a guy who was mad at a local bank and put a salmon in his safe-deposit box. The bank had to jump through a bunch of legal hoops to get the box drilled over his objections. “It was a prize salmon.”

Heard that too..only with shrimp. Sounds highly effective but also very shady.

Shady...

Sure, any sane court would assess some sort of malicious vandalism penalty.

Anyone doing this would be best to have a light profile... and get out of reach.

I heard the story 50 years ago, when anonymity was easier to maintain.

Taking the painting and replacing it with a replica - unless it was given to her in a decree, a clear intent for fraud,

I hadn’t thought of the replica angle as fraud. The article doesn’t state whether she was trying to cover up the removal, or just put something in its place. If she thought her replica was nearly indistinguishable from the original, you’re right, its fraud.

Maybe the difference was obvious—different frame, maybe she wasn’t that good an artist, anyway.

Agreed-

For bond traders, riding the interest rates down from 15%+ was an easy way to get rich. Now, on the way back up, it won’t be so pleasant.

They are probably looking at the stamped serial numbers on the Bottles. Oh wait, that’s Ammunition, sorry.
