As McDonald's seeks to modernize its business, the company is placing a big bet on mobile and other tech platforms.
McDonald's has been systematically adding self-service ordering kiosks and table service to stores as it works to "build a better McDonald's."
"What we're finding is when people dwell more, they select more," CEO Steve Easterbrook told CNBC on "Squawk on the Street" on Monday. "There's a little bit of an average check boost."

Or you could use your own phone to order ahead of time and not use their kiosk.
Online ordering is a thing now and there are apps so you can even order while walking into the building or before you leave for the restaurant.
Specifically, TOUCHING THE DOOR HANDLE TO ENTER THE RESTAURANT is the same. The kiosk is no worse than what you had to do to get to the kiosk.
Pushing hard doesn’t work on capacitive touch screens.

Good idea. The worse is the drive thru, as they are screaming at me not to forget this or that.
Thats a great idea.
I refuse to use the damn things.

In the world we live in today it is almost assured you will touch things that
have been touched by some others. Things such as: doors, buggies and food items
at the grocery store, gasoline pumps if you self fuel, ATM type machines, your mail,
etc. etc.
