The author of the Star Wars: Aftermath trilogy, Chuck Wendig, went on a Twitter rant against Star Wars fans, calling them #GamerGate, #ComicsGate, MRAs, Incels and white supremacists.
He started off the rant on May 31st, 2018, exclaiming that he went down a rabbit hole of crappy Star Wars fans after they threatened to boycott his upcoming book and were glad Solo: A Star Wars Story tanked at the box office.

The very 1st Star Wars Movie was that incredible. What was that, 1977?! Now a day I wait 6 months and rent at Red Box for 2 dollars. And it is like, gee that was boring. And that is for just about for every movie...no matter what. A lot of times I would rather watch reruns of Wagon Train and Rawhide than to bother with today’s Hollywood.
Well that will sure help bring them into theaters to see that lame latest Star Wars drek.
Yeah, it’s disappointing how badly they treat their customers.

And attacking your fans, calling them white supremacists, isn’t weird? It’s like taking a half a billion $$ and setting it ablaze.
You stated original trilogy. Then you mention Disney.
I don’t much care for anything BUT the OT; not huge on those “pre-quels” by Lucas either.
And now more and more we’re hearing from Lucas that it really is about the mean old evil US against the nice freedom-fighting VietCong. Too bad that’s NOT the way we view it. Much like “Patton” was spectacularly bad at putting Patton in a negative light.
He could have said a lot of different things to ‘criticize’ the fans, but he chose to call them White Supremacists. That, in my opinion, gives significant insight into what is going on in his head, and what he thinks about a significant number of the people who have made him wealthy. In reality, it is he who is the idiot, as he doesn’t even understand what made the Star Wars movies popular in the first place. He doesn’t seem to get it, but this hasn’t stopped him from looking down his nose and judging.
At some point in the course of our nation, people began to equate ‘intelligence’ and knowledge with whether or not a person acts in a specific way, and regurgitates a specific set of ‘acceptable’ opinions. What the self-proclaimed intelligentsia doesn’t understand is that knowing which utensil to use in a restaurant, what wine pairings are acceptable, the difference between Stilton and Gorgonzola, and spouting the same old sophomore year sociology beliefs and diatribes does not make you smarter, more creative, or your opinions more valid and valuable than those who work with their hands and can’t tell you what the plot of Othello is.
I may spend $4-$5 for a digital copy.
It deserves the scorn that many are directing its way.
I don't do the Torrent thing as the Government has hacked it and track people downloading copyright stuff.
I still want to find that HD version of the original Star Wars movie that was made a couple years ago. It was made by SW fans and is somehow from the very original film before it became Episode IV. I have a VHS copy of that original movie and it doesn't have the Episode IV on the opening scroll. I really would like the HD version as Lucas changed so much of it and turned it into a partial PC product.
It basically made Han Solo a pussy chaser. Everything he did was motivated by that. The woman he cared about was just an opportunistic female that did whatever/whoever was in her best interest at the moment.
Not good if you want to have a manly, likeable rogue.
