There was a guy in Dallas County a few years ago. Beat up his girlfriend. Beat up her mother. Then took the cat and threw it off the second floor balcony. The cat was killed when it hit the paved parking lot below.
Acquitted for beating the girlfriend.
Acquitted for beating her mother.
5 years in prison for cruelty to the cat by using a deadly weapon (the pavement of the parking lot).
If she gets the right lawyer and the right jury, she may well walk.

I won’t blame her. No one kicks my dog and lives to tell about it.

The cat was a shot caller.
The dude should have paid attention to the MS-13 tattoo on its ear.

I just read this article to my cat and he believes she was fully justified.

Sounds reasonable to me.
Cats would just be a start, then he moves on to people.

Maybe the cat wasn’t the only one being beaten in that household.

shot and killed her husband because he was beating the family cat,
Sorry but that method is not very original........too bad she never called me. He would still be alive and she wouldn't be charged with murder.
