My husband Dave is in the hospital. Seems the area of his artificial hip has developed an infection, which today's aspiration biopsy revealed to be the result of Gram-positive bacteria. The plan now is for him to be transferred from our small town hospital to a large hospital in Baltimore, where he will receive IV antibiotics and undergo a replacement of the infected hardware.

I do hate to bring it up, but he may well have a valid case for medical malpractice. He’s going to go through a lot of unnecessary pain and suffering, and this may be something that you two would consider after he recovers.

Prayers up, we always send from our hospital down to Baltimore, much better Dr’s & treatment.
It’ one of the tests they use to categorize broad categories of bacteria. They can start treatment with a broad-spectrum antibiotic until the cultures and sensitivities narrow things down to the specific antibiotic/s that kill the bugs, keep them from replicating, however they work.

Prayers out and God bless you for reaching out like this. Your husband is a very lucky man to have a Godly woman like you to love him and seek God’s protection. I don’t know why but I have a very strong feeling that God is intervening for him this very second.
