Please Pray for My Husband (Post-op update at 189)

My husband Dave is in the hospital. Seems the area of his artificial hip has developed an infection, which today's aspiration biopsy revealed to be the result of Gram-positive bacteria. The plan now is for him to be transferred from our small town hospital to a large hospital in Baltimore, where he will receive IV antibiotics and undergo a replacement of the infected hardware.

Hello, FRiend. Hubby and I were away on a 10-day vacation (actually scouting the South for a future move), and I'm just seeing this thread now.

You and your husband Dave have our fervent prayers! I hope and pray he is doing very well as I type this, and will return to excellent health. I will ping my biggest list here momentarily. Lots of Prayer Warriors on that list. :-)

Update on Dave:

Initially, the orthopedic surgeon had planned to operate today, but it turns out that Dave has pneumonia that first must be gotten under control, so the operation is now scheduled for Wednesday.
