Trump: "For the farmers its going to get really good. We're going to let your guestworkers come in, because we have to have strong borders, but we have to let your workers in.....But we're gonna let them in because you need them....Guestworkers, don't we agree? We have to have them."

Losing. Let the labor market set wages. Do not let in foreign "guest" workers in order to artificiality lower the cost of labor. This is wrong and stupid.

Losing, losing losing.

That's a valid point, Vet.

Wrong. Let it rot.

According to a Washington State University study, the cost of labor coould DOUBLE (due to using US labor for instance)and the cost per head to pick lettuce would go up from 19 cents to 28 cents per head. So at the market, when you buy the $1.50 head of lettuce retail, it would now cost $1.69. Not earth shattering and we’d have US labor picking it!

A nation of 300+ million needs not one more immigrant from anywhere, for any reason.

nobody wants to do the work

There is a US citizen that can be employed for EVERY single job at the correct wage.

Looks like we’re headed for $10 Quarter Pounders....and when folks get really prissy, they will cost $50....

That is total BS and economic malpractice. Do you know the cost of labor in the fast food industry as a percentage of operating expenses and retail sales price? Apparently not.

What an idiotic thing to post and if you are making decisions based on this the you need help.

What sort of pathetic excuse if an American are you? We need to let iur country be overrun with illegals? What scummy employers are saving by hiring illegals, taxpayers more than have to make up for with welfare and ither social services.

They need to go home. Every last one of them. They and their spawn have received years of American taxpayer funded vacations and scholarships and lessons in an operating country. They need to go home and apply what they learned in their own countries. Employers can start paying wirkable wages and make sure their goods are more enticing for our own gazillions of low-skill workers and we can start to have our own ciuntry again.

Yeah - let them name their price and make jobs normally taken by teens in HS "worth" enough to raise a family of 4 - with benefits...it only sounds good until you look at the domino affect of the big picture - how did you react when folks were marching to force MacDonald's to pay $15+ an hour and offer benefits???

Hell make something pay $1 million a year and I'll come out of retirement for 6 months....

You sound like you think even the smallest entry level jobs should pay for a family of 4 to live good and have 2 cars and all the toys....and you think I’m the one who needs help...

Too funny! So stuck in your lower colon opinion that you can’t see that our own government caused the problem and evident;y have no compunction about screwing someone up the ass because the deals you made earlier are now inconvenient to you - and you call me scummy for thinking honor is a good thing....

“Honor?”

You want your fellow Americans to keep on paying for the moochers, and because we had some sellout pols looking the other way for awhile we no longer are entitled to having a country with enforced borders?

How pathetic and nonsensical is that? I take it you’ve made your money by shifting the costs of your illegal housekeeper or carpenters or whatever onto the backs of your fellow Americans.

I can see and call scum when I see it.

You sound like a hypocrite and a traitor. On the one hand you disparage the welfare class as too lazy to work then you at the same you and your globalist ilk time promote importing 3rd worlders to to do those jobs which drives the wages down to point where the welfare class will not work. It’s perpetual cycle and the problem with neo Conservatives and the Republican party in general.

And you sound like one who eschews reality for some pie in the sky set of “ideals” that throw common sense out the window because you have a delusional view of how things ought to be vs. what we have been handed....as with the other deluded individual, your disapproval is more a badge than a slur...hate what we have to work with but fully realize that the Congress allowed it and even invited it and making it “right” entails doing the right thing ... easy to say the hell with them if one is so totally selfish and self-centered that reality must be kept at bay to keep the worldview intact.

We nationalist i. e. patriots will crush you globalists. You wait and see. This isn’t about Trump. This pay back is long over due. The Republican party is changing and nothing you Free Traitors™ can do about it.

Re: “With folks like you around, it’s amazing we ever got lucky enough to have a Trump in the WH....”

I voted for Trump in 2016, and I will vote to reelect Trump in 2020, but only because he is the most Conservative candidate who has a chance to win.

The most important issue of our time is massive legal immigration, currently about 1.5 million per year, which you and Trump both support.

80% of those folks will vote for the Democrat Party when they become citizens.

If you and Trump don’t understand what that means for Conservative political power, well, I have no idea what else to say to you.

Such serious words for an ignorant clown - I’m not a globalist no matter how you try to twist it - you are, however, a real nut case...

Everyone keeps forgetting that Trump wants a lot in return for any DACA deal and he also wants it done right - by the Congress instead of all the crap ways it has been handled as our own government posted info on how to sneak into the country and obtain benefits for many illegals.

Trump also wants to get a solid handle on those who might be "pardoned" so we will not just have so many lurking in the shadows - many of the DACA "eligible" are under the RADAR because they never followed even the illegal "rules" to extend their stays - many will end up self-disqualifying and the rest will have to stay visibly engaged.

The whole situation may suck the big one but it is much better than what we've been living with and part of it is to stop the huge flow that overwhelms any systems of control - I would love for them all to leave but reality says it is not the moral thing to do with a chunk of them.

So much angst and there has been no deal yet....to quote Mark Twain; "Worry is like paying in advance for something you're not likely to get anyway.", yet so many just can't help but see the doom and gloom despite the huge sunny swath Trump has been cutting - amazing when one thinks about it.

After my last rant, one might consider how farmers are supposed to come up with "solid pay plans" for seasonal, unskilled laborers so "Americans would be willing to work them jobs"

Let's face it, anyone perennially available for such work as a lot of the "guest workers" do, doesn't want to do any sort of work anyway - they would only accept a job for a really high wage and then shirk their duties and waste the farmer's money - part of the system is because of the nature of the jobs which are not constant enough for anyone to make a living off. Other than bitch that it's only because "They won't pay enough for a self-respecting American to bother with them jobs", get a dose of reality - they'd have to be even sweeter deals than teachers get - instead of getting couple months "paid vacation" in the Summer, the majority of the jobs the guest workers handle are during that two months and not for the remaining 10 months.
