I don’t have a problem with what he posted at all. On another thread, though, the usual wailing about Robinson not being a boy scout has started.
Are you saying that Tommy Robinson isn’t making America great again?
This guy is a tool.
Why continue to follow him if he's muted?
Jeb? Is that you?
Tommy admits to his mistakes in the past.
He is the only one questioning the state of Islamic influence in their legal system. They’re taking over.
England is not England anymore.
You want to abandon the only man that has the courage to stand up to this? Did this go over the history of what has been done to his family by Muslims?
Bad post.
It is intolerable to tolerate the intolerant.
Islam means submission.
I will NOT submit.
You need to be careful of what you’re believing as “facts”.
The system has been going after him because he’s been calling them out for a decade.
The whole “mortgage fraud” was a trumped up charge - claiming he made more than he did. Nothing but a made up technicality to “get him”. They’ve tried to set him up in a step-by-step manner, assuming that the next level will always be where he surrenders and shuts up. The problem is that he hasn’t.
Careful what you believe.
Who gives a flying flower power if you think it's cool.
Robinson was born Stephen Christopher Yaxley in Luton. In an interview with Victoria Derbyshire on BBC Radio Five live in 2010, he said that his parents “were Irish immigrants to this country”. His mother, who worked at a local bakery, remarried when Robinson was still young; his stepfather, Thomas Lennon, whose surname Robinson took, worked at the local Vauxhall car plant.
Robinson married in 2011 and is the father of three children. He owns a sunbed shop in Luton.
According to Robinson, after he left school he applied to study aircraft engineering at Luton Airport: “I got an apprenticeship six hundred people applied for, and they took four people on”. He qualified in 2003 after five years of study, but then he was convicted for drunken assault of an off-duty police officer. He served a 12-month prison sentence, and as a result lost his job at Luton Airport owing to security measures imposed since the September 11 attacks.
Robinson joined the British National Party in 2004. When questioned about this by the BBC’s Andrew Neil in June 2013, he said that he had left after one year, saying, “I didn’t know Nick Griffin was in the National Front, I didn’t know non-whites couldn’t join the organisation. I joined, I saw what it was about, it was not for me”.
As leader of the EDL, Robinson regularly wore a bullet-proof vest when appearing in public, telling the BBC that his business and his home have been attacked, and that he had been personally threatened by armed Muslims.
Despite being accused of antisemitism, Robinson has declared his support for the Jewish people and Israel, calling himself a Zionist
Thank you for the link to the Oxford speech. It speaks for itself.
“The Sorrow and The Pity”
Thanks for the rec - I’m going to take a look.
No kidding. Who is going to be the person that fights back? Someone like Jeb Bush? Ummm...no. Give a street fighter.
Also as a side note, we were in London not too long ago. We spoke with quite a few Londoners outraged with what they saw happening in their country. It was a comfort to hear their thoughts and know there was still such a fighting spirit among them. One of the most vocal was a Black Cab driver who didn't hold anything back. I wish I could have heard more of his thoughts but the 20 minute ride was one of our more enlightening conversations.
:)
I was saying Saul the poster who is bringing up Tommy Robinson’s background arrests etc isn’t MAGA. He doesn’t pretend to be MAGA but he does set himself as a voice for truth and debunking yet sometimes there is an element of spin.
Saying he’s not MAGA is my shorthand way of reminding myself that he has an agenda that conflicts with mine and should be taken with a grain of salt. In this case he seems to be saying that because I can demonize the messenger you Brits should ignore the attention being directed to the Muslim rape gangs. Ignore how the powers that be have facilitated the rapes by silencing the victims and even (it now emerges) participating in the rapes.
Thanks for the additional context.
I don’t. Other posters I follow will take an action that will move a topic of his onto my timeline as happened in this case.
I should clarify. I went to mute him today and discovered that I had already, the last time I felt he was biased. He appeared today that I was seeing his content because of someone else’s like or retweet.
