And I’ve been to that bar on the corner of Bourbon St. where they supposedly hatched the plot.

It’s a great point about Jackson allying with pirate Lafitte. I think the key here is that he knew Lafitte was a pirate. I think it’s important to know about Robinson as well.

but Robinson isn't the man to represent conservatives or anyone on this issue"

Douglas Murray provides the counterpoint to Saul Montes-Bradley in a June 2017 video

Robinson is the nail that must be hammered down because the Establishment must not allow his message to be aired publicly. He must be destroyed in much the same way that dissidents were sent into mental institutions in the Soviet Union.

Robinson is not the problem. The Establishment that ignores the will of the people is the problem. He is stating an inconvenient truth that resonates with the people. He is being silenced and demonized. An imperfect messenger, perhaps. But the means used to silence him should scare us all.

This isn’t about Robinson.

It’s about due process.

Or, in this case, the lack of it.

Exactly.

Irrelevant. He was jailed for observing something.

Robinson head-butted a neo-NAZI who was trying to infiltrate the EDL.

After that mis-characterization, this fools words fall on deaf ears.

Right.

Smearing a fighter for freedom is an age old tactic.

Yes, they called it breach of the peace. The video of his arrest has now been taken down. He was tried and sentenced in secret.

Breach of the peace: an act of violent or noisy behavior that causes a public disturbance and is considered a criminal offense.

Anyone who has seen the video of his arrest knows that there was no "breach of the peace."

Pastor Niemoller in Germany made the point about “first they came for” regarding Germany in the 1930’s.

When Dr. Csrl McIntire “Freedom is everybody’s business” in my tagline here on FR lost his radio station to Fairness Doctrine sanction in the 1970’s, he broadcast for a time from offshore as a ‘pirate radio station’.

McIntire, who advocated a total military victory in Vietnam costing him the radio station invited Jane Fonda to join him at the microphone, not to endorse “Hanoi Jane” but to endorse freedom of speech for all sides of the debate in the USA.

Tommy Robinson’s freedom is everyone’s freedom right now, no kidding.

Trump was labeled as a man who should not represent principled conservatives.

Well, I now say “piss on principled conservatism, the man FIGHTS!”

There's a Brit named Pat Condell who posts videos on youtube pretty regularly who makes it clear that he's no fan of the Religion of Pieces *or* political correctness.

He's outstanding! Intelligent,articulate and fearless!

A few months ago he weighed in on the subject of free speech in Britain...it's worth a listen.

I've known of Tommy for very long. He's no angel, but most of what he's been "charged" with are trumped up BS. I know who and what he is and he's no monster. I doubt MOST of us could have survived all the crap he and his family have endured over the years. As for his aliases, self protection. Now that his mug is so well known, the aliases aren't of much help.

Before you get conned by this "Saul" guy, do some due diligence.

"Saul Montes-Bradley took the time to explain, in detail the history and background of Tommy Robinson."

What about the history and background of Saul Montes-Bradley? Do the two last names give him some kind of gravitas I should acknowledge?

When some complained to Lincoln that General Grant was a drunk, he responded “Find out what he drinks and send a case to my other generals”

Some of the political commentators I follow follow him but I think he has an agenda and it isn’t MAGA. This for me was the straw that muted him.

People that know TR have commented on his thread that the picture he is painting of the man is lopsided and not a true rendition.

Tommy is an outstanding debater, just who our side needs. This is why the Brit Establishment wants him silenced.

A checkered background.

Heck, most of the Founders had those checkered backgrounds. Of course, Tommy has one. He also has spirit and drive. He has the "fight" in him for what is right and you have to immerse yourself in the thousands of videos and interviews he has done. They illustrate who and what he is more than a twitter attack on his character. There is a lot of Trump in him, and a lot of Tommy in Trump.

I agree with you completely about the content of the posted article, but think Caipirabob is doing the right thing here. One of the great things about FR is that articles from all viewpoints are posted for dissection. If I may put words in his mouth, I think the only thing CB is saying is let’s get the facts before we get the pitchforks. The commenters have done an excellent job critiquing this, and now we can get the pitchforks with confidence.
