I wonder what is wrong with it besides the homosexuality factor. It can’t be all that.

Han Soyboy. No thanks to the feminist SJWs who now run Disney/”Lucasfilm”. They won’t get any more of my $

The problem should have been easy to foresee. Han got killed in Star Wars 7. The audience knows how the story ends, and it’s not a happy ending.

I don’t think it will lose money when all is said and done. Of course I also did not think “A Wrinkle in Time” would bomb so bad.

I don’t know what it is, but Hollywood men today look like oversized kids. The only exception would be of course Dwayne Johnson and Chris Pratt, who IMO SHOULD HAVE been Han Solo (as well as the next Indiana Jones). You look at Eastwood, Reynolds, Stallone, and Harrison Ford back in the day compared to the men now, and these men today can’t hold the men of yesteryear’s jock straps. This guy in the Solo movie looks like a fricking teenager.

I thought the first rule of making sequels is that the first sequel that does not make money is the last sequel.

The series is being beaten to death. Star Trek is already dead seeing how they had to recycle Wrath of Khan. We need more new concepts. District9 was a good example.

Harrison Ford was a likeable guy and made a good underdog hero. This prequel was damaged from the start. They need actors and actresses with some charisma not these wimpy metros.

Solo, a transsexual story.

A long long time ago in a galaxy far far away. . .

Disney Attacks!!!

A once proud franchise has been hijacked
The leftist reimagined universe has eaten our heros
Thinking this galaxy far far away would somehow
make their leftist tripe more palatable
They have taken once beloved characters and feminized them.

Billy Dee is puking, Harrison is horrified and Mark Hamil?
He’s too stupid to care.

Can Disney pull its head out if it’s arse?
Too late, the plane has crashed,
The galaxy far far away has discovered,
Liberalism kills everything it touches

Next episode features Darth Codepink
No black helmet here, just pink pussy hats
The pussy troopers will now be the soldiers of the Empire.

Rest in peace, Opie’s directing career, and may Kathleen Kennedy quit, apologize, and give control of Star Wars to Peter Jackson.

That would indicate something around $450-$500 million gross theatrical revenue. Add in video revenue and I’m not seeing how the studio loses money, but they are inventive in Hollywood.

A small part of’Remember The Titans’ was shot in front of our house in Grant Park (Atlanta). They shot for about 3 days and maybe a couple of minutes of film ended up in the movie. They brought around 50 extras over from Birmingham Al., in spite of the multi-millions living in Atl. That was a movie with a relatively modest budget. When they quote these large figures for making a movie, just understand, they throw around money like it’s nothing.

Meh, go into it without politics in mind, or expectations that the main actor could ever recreate Harrison Ford. Just a fun movie. 10x better than The Last Jedi.

Wasn’t The Clone Wars the first Star Wars film to lose money? I remember seeing an MSN article shortly after seeing it that indicated that it really underperformed.

Easy fix for Disney, just create a story with a time device and change everything to an alternate storyline.

Just like they did with Star Trek.

Solo isn't tanking just because it's mediocre. Ever since The Last Jedi was released, Disney has gone full SJW and and attacked fans who didn't like it. Hardly a week has gone by where someone from Disney Star Wars hasn't found a way to alienate fans just a little bit more.

This has been going on for the last five months. I think there is a unoffical boycott because fans are fed up with the abuse. So fans are sending a message to Disney by not buy tickets or merchandise.

The actor who portrays Han Solo just does not have that spark you need.

BTW : ) In an earlier edit Chewie pulls the arm out of Han Solo socket but the producer did not like it as much as the test audiences who loved it.

Han Solo may become the first Star Wars film to lose money.

The legacy of The Last Jedi, which demoralized the fan base. Doing something like that with a franchise like Star Wars is no small accomplishment, but they managed to do it.

To clarify, I haven't seen Solo and am not planning on it. I just find how Disney is (mis)handling Star Wars and the response to it really interesting.

With regards to Lando's supposed pan sexuality, BOOFIRE191 asks "Star Wars Solo: Is L3-37 A Parody of Kathleen Kennedy?" He argues that the original directors, Philip Lord and Christopher Miller, were fired because L3-37, Lando's android sidekick, is a parody of social justice warriors and Kathleen Kennedy. If it wasn't for John Kasdan saying Lando was pan sexual right before Solo opened, no one would think or talk about it.

It is eleven minutes long and has some swearing. His mini rants on real world SJWs are spot on. Even if Kasdan was just trying to rile people, it was still irresponsible of him to say something that could turn people away a week before Solo opened. More so when he obviously knows a lot of fans are still upset with Disney over The Last Jedi.
