I wonder what is wrong with it besides the homosexuality factor. It can’t be all that.
Han Soyboy. No thanks to the feminist SJWs who now run Disney/”Lucasfilm”. They won’t get any more of my $
The problem should have been easy to foresee. Han got killed in Star Wars 7. The audience knows how the story ends, and it’s not a happy ending.
I don’t think it will lose money when all is said and done. Of course I also did not think “A Wrinkle in Time” would bomb so bad.
I don’t know what it is, but Hollywood men today look like oversized kids. The only exception would be of course Dwayne Johnson and Chris Pratt, who IMO SHOULD HAVE been Han Solo (as well as the next Indiana Jones). You look at Eastwood, Reynolds, Stallone, and Harrison Ford back in the day compared to the men now, and these men today can’t hold the men of yesteryear’s jock straps. This guy in the Solo movie looks like a fricking teenager.
I see what you did there.

SW told it’s fan base to F off — first in New Hope 2.0 (farce awakens) and then with an exlamation point in lost jedi.
The fans responded as expected by being ex-fans. Including me. This and the NFL and Star Trek have all been taken away from me by liberals. Forever. It is more painful than people realize and not a small thing at all.
Expect SW merchandise sales to fall off, other than from the 1st 3 movies, in the next few years as well.
I see Star Wars movies in general simply becoming less than they used to be. Even if this one doesn’t totally bomb, you can probably expect diminishing returns with time.
I just saw the movie last night...what was “homosexual”? I didn’t catch anything like that in it.
Saw it in 3D and enjoyed the movie. By no means a classic and it had many flaws but it was a fun popcorn film. Definitely recommend in 3d
School just getting out. Summer films always slump

Lando being interested in the droid is the answer to your question. But even that is questionable as to how obvious that implication is or whether or not people would interpret it as such. I saw the droid as a joke, and probably from the first directors of the film before they changed to Howard. Lord and Miller do jokes such as that.
Like how the newest Marvel Avengers movie is getting closer to a gross of 2 billion dollars? Like how the first Star Movie made, adjusted for ticket prices today, around 3 billion dollars worldwide?
Or...
Kirk Douglas
John Wayne
Charlton Heston
Glenn Ford
Steve McQueen
Cliff Robertson
Robert Mitchum
Lee Marvin
James Coburn
Charles Bronson
Paul Newman
Who else have we missed?
I have not seen it but someone said Lando was gay.
Well first off the Droid had a female voice and personality. Secondly I agree with you it seemed to be all tongue in cheek. Heck the whole premise is weird creatures from all over the galaxy! One has to really stretch to come up with a “gay” storyline there.
I watched it with no agenda as pure shoot em up silly fun. Heck I’m 52 years old sitting in a theater with 3d glasses in how serious should I be about the movie haha
Lando wasn’t gay in the movie. He didn’t have any sexual relationship at all with anyone. He came off as a libertine who went around the galaxy playing cards and carousing.
If you saw the movie with no preconceptions there is no way you would call him or the movie gay.
Wayyy to much being read into it, mostly by LGBT folks looking for heroes and on the other end far too sensitive conservatives looking for offenses.
It was dumb silly fun popcorn movie period.
I thought the first rule of making sequels is that the first sequel that does not make money is the last sequel.
