Maybe I can now put a toll gat up on MY street?

And no dogs allowed that might excite my hounds.

Wild guess, the location would NOT be zoned residential?

Crossfit is a cult.

That said, I visited Annie Thorisdottir’s CrossFit in Reykjavik. Some normal people, and a couple scary broads...

The location of the gym is in an industrial zone. The complaint from the neighbors falls in the same category as neighbors complaining about the smell of a farm... from a farm.

Also, the CrossFit Games are fun to watch.
The competitors are absolute freaks.

My neighbor had a hair salon next to one of these joints .
The place rude and obnoxious as this joint .
They had half the parking lot with people throwing weights next to park cars and running in front of parking cars and blasting music and running into old ladies .
They were asked to move .

This fad is dying off.

The worst part of crossfit for me is that for every hour they work out on their own they have to spend two hours talking about it at work - usually around my cubicle.

Sigh.

Membership is about $17.50 per month.

You can put a hold on your membership once a year and the fee goes to $18 per month while on hold!

An atheist, a vegan, and a crossfitter walk into a bar...
I only know because they told everyone within two minutes.

Almost every CrossFit I’ve seen is around $150 a month.

“”The complaint from the neighbors falls in the same category as neighbors complaining about the smell of a farm... from a farm””

Or airplane noise when they bought near an airport...

I have seen several crossfit buildings in Colorado. It seems weird to me that normally intelligent people would pay good money to go jogging on a cement sidewalk, do sit ups on a cement floor, and move a giant tire around from one location to another. And of course there are free weights to lift that any one could get at a second hand sporting goods store. In high school, most of the kids did not want to take PE Class. And yet there are those adults who will pay to do what most any 9th grader already knows how to do. Oh well, it is a free country. And it isn’t like they are hiding in the boy’s rest room to smoke cigarettes.

$17.50 per month for Crossfit? That doesn't seem right at all. Here in the Albany oblast of the People's Republic of New York, regular gym memberships go for that with most Crossfit places clocking in around $150 a month.

I ran on the strand along Hermosa and Manhattan beaches for 30 years and many streets down to the beach and back. No complaints even from my joints👣👣

Crossfit is a cult.
I find that humorous.

Some that I occasionally workout with are of the opinion that Crossfit training is too much too soon and does not have a sufficient warm up. Max effort in min time.

For a long time, if I do not have a hard sweat, my knees are not ready for HIIT.
Minimum twenty minutes then ramp up.

I’m a 71 y/o grandmother, started running when I was 50. Still going strong, no injuries, but I’m very careful not to overexert myself.

These Crossfit fanatics will be worn out before reaching old age or even middle age.

for every hour they work out on their own they have to spend two hours talking about it at work

That seems to hold true for any human activity.
