“Many a slip”...
Ha Ha Ha!!!!
Thanks for the thread ETL.
God Bless
Three week wait against fresh horses. This could get good!
My satellite still isnt working. Ill have to find it on the Internet. Of all the times for the signal to be lost! Its not even raining out.
Well, the Belmont will be exciting! Anyone know when that is?
Only three short weeks away...
7, 8, 6. I sure hope you were betting with fictitious loot!
It’s already good. Belmont is the hardest though. Two TC’s in two years would be fantastic.
3 years.
Ah, the ever present, pompous and insufferable Bob Costas = *CLICK.*
Got home in time to watch it. A very exciting race.
HOORAY Justify!
ok Thanks, I cant wait! My satellite dish better be working better then. Although right now its fine, I could watch hockey if I wanted to. Except I have no interest. Figures.
I had to run somewhere the second the race was over. Couldn’t see the horses very well in the home stretch. Will watch it again now at YouTube.

I actually lost the few dollars I had on the earlier Pimilico races trying to make more money for the big race. Didn’t work out too well.
Lone Sailor finished well despite the sloppy track. Often late running horses don't do well in the slop because of all the mud that gets kicked up by the front runners. I think he finished 5th. Still haven't watched the replay yet. Will now.
Justify was spent at the end and almost lost. He runs like this in the
Belmont he has no shot.
Order of Finish
7 Justify
8 Bravazo
6 Tenfold
5 Good Magic
2 Lone Sailor
3 Sporting Chance
4 Diamond King
1 Quip
Yes, he’s had two pretty tough races in two weeks.
However, horses with early speed, which of course he has plenty of, tend to do very well at the marathon distances. Most Belmont winners came from just off the early pace or went wire to wire. This despite the misconception that late runners do better at long distances like 1-1/2 mile.
I was wondering if the weather conditions changed the projections. I mean, maybe some horses do better on a dry track while others do better in mud? It didnt really seem to change the way the commentators were predicting who would win.
