GULFPORT, MS (WLOX) -
The woman who owns two pit bulls that attacked and killed a 75-year-old woman Wednesday in Gulfport has been arrested.
Police say Emily Craft, 32, was arrested on a warrant for misdemeanor dog-at-large and vicious animal charges. Police say those charges stem from a July 2017 incident where Craft's two pit bulls entered someone else's yard and attacked that person's golden retriever.
Officers were at the home on Deidra Court investigating the death of a 75-year old woman who was attacked by the same two pit bulls just before 8 a.m. Wednesday. The victim has not yet been identified.

Considering jail time and lawsuits, the taller fence is much preferable.

All you need is a dog that makes a ruckus.
I have. Knowing the owner, I also know that it was not raised that way - she had numerous dogs without problem before and after this golden retriever. It was just an extremely territorial dog who was defensive and had dominance issues. I had never seen those issues in a golden before but I saw it with my own eyes. At least two vets of the many who examined the dog for physical reasons for its viciousness quietly recommended to the owner that the dog be put down as dangerous. All breeds can have some bad apples - some a few, like Golden Retrievers, and some a lot, like pit bulls.
Is this an argument against breed control? No. Society can deal with the odd vicious golden or similar dog breed. These are truly exceptions. Vicious pit bull behavior is not exceptional and can pose a serious threat to innocent victims.

Gulfport, Ms.?
Yep. Just like there are psycho humans, occasionally even a dog breed know for friendliness will have a violent psycho in its ranks. In most breeds, psychos are exceptions. In pitbulls....
Id rather get a taller fence.
Or a slingshot.

Pretty much.
Odd thing was that one day, out of the blue, the dog decided we were friends. Why, I don't know. I certainly had stayed clear of him and had never encouraged a friendship. Never trusted the dog as far as I could throw him but from that moment on, this uneasy (at least from my point of view) peace existed between us. I was the only new person entered into the cease-fire agreement. Shed no tears when that dog died.
Sansa would know how treat the ahole pit bull owners...
Yes.
You sure are not wrong there. Exactly.
The 75 year old lady who died by pit bull attack has now been identified.
According to: http://www.wlox.com/story/38209203/pit-bull-attack-leaves-gulfport-woman-dead
“Harrison County Coroner Gary Hargrove said Georgia Morgan, 75, died after being attacked by the two dogs. It happened on Deidra Court, where Morgan was well-known to many of her neighbors.”
“Deputy Chief Loposser says the owner of the two dogs, Emily Craft, gave the animals to authorities and is fully cooperating with the investigation. However, Gulfport Police did arrest Craft on an outstanding warrant from 2017 where she was charged with misdemeanor charges of an animal-at-large and vicious animal. Those charges stem from an attack in July 2017 where the same two pit bulls reportedly attacked someone’s golden retriever.
Craft has not been charged in Morgan’s death, which remains under investigation.”
