A 30-year-old Alaska woman has been accused of ordering the rape last year of a man who allegedly owed her money for alcohol and marijuana, PEOPLE confirms.
Julia Haworth, who lives in St. Michael, remains in custody on one count of solicitation of sexual assault and one count of first-degree sexual assault.
She has not entered pleas to her charges and her attorney was unavailable for comment on Wednesday.
Investigators believe Haworth told a male acquaintance she would give him a bottle of liquor if he sexually assaulted another man who owed her $15,000 money he allegedly had used for booze and weed.
The victim was raped in April 2017, according to court records.
The man accused of carrying out that sexual assault, 24-year-old Austin Matthias, is also in jail, charged with two felony counts of first-degree sexual assault.

Seems like an odd story coming from Alaska. Certain other states would seem more likely candidates.
There are some strange people living in Alaska...
That seems ... inexpensive.
Cheap date! But I assume she chose someone predisposed to carry out such an attack.
The goods can be odd, indeed. I know someone whose wife became a cheap whore, left him, blew up like a balloon, decided she was a lesbian, then moved to Alaska......all in that order.
Even for Alaska, St. Michael is in the middle of nowhere with a population of maybe 400 - mostly Yup’iks, many with Russian last names.

So. Did he ever pay up?
Yes, inexpensive to say the least.
Maybe and maybe not but he almost got it in the end.
Total sympathy for the rape victim, however if you are living in a dumpster you are likely to be bitten by the rats around you. I heartily suggest the rape victim look himself in the mirror, turn his own life around and get it out of the social dumpster he was used to.
I wonder if this one will turn up on Alaskan State Troopers?
Do you mean end up on AST?
Do you mean end up on Alaska State Troopers?
St. Michael is a village of 400+/- persons, most of whom are related to each other, and is dry. No legal alcohol. 124 air miles to Nome, and 440 air miles to Fairbanks. So a bottle of liquor might be worth 500 dollars or more in the local economy, and she may have been the local bootlegger . . .
My wife lived in AK for 16 years and quite often quotes this saying to me.
We had a single woman working with us from Alaska.
She managed to find a whole new level on the Crazy-Hot chart.
4-Hot, 12-Crazy
