“thermal injuries”
God help them.
.
I wonder if they swerved trying to avoid the gator and that’s what caused the accident as opposed to hitting the gator head on.
“...all died of thermal injuries...”
~~~
report lingo for burning to death.
Terrible :(
Wave Of Huge Alligators Wreaking Havoc Across Southern States
I hit a deer that was dead in the middle of the highway once. It was dark and there was no way to go around it in time, so I went right over it.
It was NOT fun. The whole font cowl of my car tore off and I bounced about 3 feet into the air.
I am amazed there was not more damage - I was able to drive on.
Just picture a 150 pounds sack of wet cement hitting you. that’s what it felt like.
Horrible. Prayers for their loved ones and friends. Memory eternal.
My guess is that, if you look under a Kia "Soul", you'll find a low-hanging, unprotected fuel system -- positioned so that running over an alligator or a standard curb will rupture or dislodge it...
How awful......
I have a 2013 Soul. Good mileage, easy to park, but I wouldn’t like to take on a gator. RIP to those who died.
Horrible. Praying that surviving family members can get through this tragedy with strength and courage.
A good reporter would inform the public of how the alligator fared. Alas that information is not forthcoming.
Is that the size of a Yugo?
It’s threads like these that remind me to keep my family in big cars. Bigger is better in a collision with anything.
Screw the environment.
Not many Americans have survived hitting a camel with a car in Saudi. Camel dies but so does the American driver.
May they rest in peace. Terrible.
Time to harvest the alligators.
