FULL TITLE: NHS Doctor: Starving Alfie Evans to Death Is Not the Killing of A Child, Its Just Redirecting Care
Forcing 23 month-old Alfie Evans to die by starvation is not killing, Dr. Ranj Singh argued on U.K.s This Morning ITV program Friday, Express reports.
Withdrawing life-support and refusing to allow Alfies parents to take him home, feed and care for him, is, instead merely redirecting care, Dr. Singh said:
This is not the killing of a child - this is redirecting care to make them more comfortable.
In Alfies case, redirecting care to make him more comfortable means denying him food, water and life support. Dr. Singh doubled down on his claim, framing the withdrawal of life support as a way to make patients more comfortable and give them "the most dignifying life:
Withdrawing life support is not killing someone. It is redirecting care to make them more comfortable and give them the most dignifying life that you can.
Dr. Singh also said pro-life Alfie supporters outside the Alder Hey Hospital protesting to save Alfies life are behaving disgustingly:
Theres a small proportion who have - I will say it - behaved disgustingly.
Dr. Singh is a clinical technician who works for the U.K.s government-run health care system, National Health Service (NHS), which fought, and won, in court to end Alfies life.
I was a medical student at a major London teaching hospital in the 1970s.
I had been an English major in college and was kind of an Anglophile.
I was very surprised at how much my British peers hated Britain. Not as much as they hated America of course, but still - it was their own country, after all!
The UK has turned into a demon country. I have no further care what happens to them.
“NHS Doctor: Starving Alfie Evans to Death Is Not the Killing of A Child, Its Just Redirecting...”
How about we “redirect” this dusky mollusk to a lo cal diet....like water.
The Nhs has attracted the poorest and most corrupt asian doctors. No wonder they love Kahn.
This is not care, this is killing a witness for the miracle of medicine, good doctors and dismissing parental voice
They denied Alfie water, so I don’t think this cretin deserves any, either.
Hey Dr. Singh, let me make you feel comfortable!
Exactly, the slave states, where slavery was legal.
The Nazis had a program just like this to “euthanize” those who were “defective.” Hademar, Germany was where they gassed them. It’s nice to realize they’d have given Alfie the same “quality, humane care” the Brits did. In the appropriate German, it’s known as “lives not worth living.”
“It is murder and very sadistic murder.”
The Nazis were more humane—they used carbon monoxide gas to murder those with “lives not worth living.”
Just when I thought I couldn’t be more angry with the NHS, you post that. Man.
That vibration you feel under St. Martins Church in the UK is Winston Churchill spinning in his grave. The country that he fearlessly led is no more.
No, its withholding care to make Singh and his minions more comfortable. The NHS couldnt allow the patient to escape its iron-fisted system.
I'm thinking of the earnest Hindu ladies I met in Oakland at some kind of street festival they were hosting. I was wearing a PROLIFE AND PROUD T-shirt and a couple of them swooped down and took me aside and pressed some pamphlets on me about Hindu respect for life. And free food too, yum.
I ended upon a mailing list and after must be 30 years, they still send me their religious tracts and recipes. There's a lot of stuff in the tracts I disagree with, but they sure were pro-life.
We ought to insist he become a Breatharian
Thought I’d ping you to this thread so that you can explain to all the FReepers on this thread how you don’t think this murder was actually a murder and how you agree with the British NHS decision to kill Alfie.
And?
No matter where someone falls on the spectrum of this issue you should be appalled at the words “redirecting care.” How a doctor can utter those words with a straight face......
That smells like a pile of.........
They took the child away from the parents and killed him and don’t forget it.

Not hard when you define the state as your “god” and all resources as properly directed by the state.
People are simply more resources the state gets to direct.
In the view of Progressives, there is no right or wrong, just whatever the state defines as best at the moment.
