Munro & Associates, Inc. of Auburn Hills, Michigan, is in the business of competitive teardown and analysis. They just completed a 6,000-man-hour study of the Model 3. Scattered around the Munro warehouse is a methodically exploded Tesla, quite literally in pieces... Clearly Tesla employs a lot of savvy electrical engineers. Its electronic computing circuitry ranks somewhere between that of a cellphone and a Mars mission in terms of sophistication... Panel gaps are inconsistent around the same car as well as between cars. Many gaps exceed accepted norms for any price class,...

Time will tell.
They lose money at $36k ,, most will sell in the 50’s ... and gov’t incentives are ending.
There's a Tesla "dealership" a couple of miles from me and I must admit that I'm tempted to take a test drive.
I'd certainly never buy one for many reasons...recharging time and range being two of the most important.I'll stick to my diesel...53mpg (highway),they climb 14,000 foot mountains effortlessly (Mount Evans,Colorado),can be refilled in about 4 minutes...

Moocher Musk rakes it in. He is the premiere looter of the 21st Century.
Lots of fancy electrical/electronic stuff. Lacking in the mechanical engineering department. Doesn’t surprise me.
Hey, on another note, today I saw a late 1940’s/early 1950’s Cadillac driving down the road.
Yup
1950 Cadillac Eldorado.
1951 Cadillac Series 62
1952 Cadillac S&S Florentine (Flower Hearse - Going in style)
My personal favorite - 1958 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz Convertible
Sounds like buyers are overpaying for a good battery surrounded by a low quality enclosure.
Seems that way. I mean seams every which way.
I have a report on cyber-security related aspects of the vehicle.
It is not good.
My 1971 International Harvester (daily driver) puts that POS government subsidized waste of materials to shame. My 1210 model truck is so over built and its logical design allows it to be 48 years old and still making money . My cost per mile is a pittance compared to the abominations Tesla throws out on to the market . Elon Musk obviously never heard of the “keep it simple stupid” ...as far as transportation is concerned .
> I dont see how they could make money at $36,000.
Well, that’s EASY to fix: Have govt ‘subsidize’ through the taxpayers’ wallets.
I mean, it’s not like THEY know anything better to do w/ their $$$
Ping for later.
Wow!
Nice find.
Thanks, may watch it a second time.
You may find this of some interest.

That last one is indeed a beautiful piece of craftsmanship.

Thanks for link
I’d love to have one and do a restomod on it with modern suspension, engine etc. Perhaps in my next life. 8>)
Maybe it’s just my eyes, but it looks to me like the granddad of a Mako Corvette. (biased...i love the Mako)

Here is a 1957 cadillac eldorado biarritz. The difference between the 2 years are slight. The rear end is little different. It doesn't have those chrome accents, and the headlights are single rather than double in 1958. I like this read end just a little better than the 1958 model year, but everything else on the 1958 model year:
