In a piece published Wednesday, journalist Vera Papisova said she was groped 22 times over a 10-hour period while attending Coachella, saying that she was “repeatedly violated by strangers.” Papisova described being followed, grabbed, insulted, spoken to inappropriately and groped on multiple occasions.
Teen Vogue said all 54 women who spoke to the magazine during Coachella had a story about being sexually assaulted or harassed over that weekend.
Meanwhile, Indio police would not confirm to CBS2 how many complaints of sexual misconduct were made during the first weekend.

“I would’ve expected to see something on their website, in terms of what to do if that happens to you since it is such a prevalent issue at music events, in general,” Papisova said.

Last week, the program coordinator for the Sexual Assault Response Team at Eisenhower Hospital in Rancho Mirage told KMIR-TV that it sees a major spike in calls during Coachella, often getting a month’s worth of calls in just the two weekends. Many of the cases involve drugs, date rape drugs and alcohol, KMIR reports.

Tennessee has a music gathering called Bonaroo. Ties up traffic on the interstate for the week and maybe a couple drug overdose deaths, but mostly about heat stroke. Haven’t heard much about sexual abuse tbere....yet.

Well she sounds like my sons one daughter, same age, was not uncommon they went toe to toe... now she has a terrific boyfiend who knows just how to handle her as well. He doesn’t take her nonsense.

The definition of sexual harassment is so elastic it includes saying, “Good morning,” in the wrong tone of voice. It’s amazing one hundred percent of the women aren’t claiming harassment.
“I don’t even know what sexual assault or sexual harassment means anymore.”
Sexual assault means your son asking a girl out on a date only to find that he’s now facing a rape charge because he made the girl feel ‘uncomfortable’. Sexual harassment is doing the same, but only an expulsion tribunal at college, again for making the girl feel ‘uncomfortable’.
...and people wonder why I told my boys to not even consider American wives. At least not until there are some SERIOUS changes, which ain’t going to happen.
And young single women goes to these things because they are sure any young single men going to them are perfect gentlemen?
No, I am not saying any inappropriate behavior is “deserved”. Then again, if I were a young woman I wouldn’t go places where I am relatively sure such inappropriate behavior has a high chance of occurring, and if I did just happen to go I would go only with a number of friends - more than two - and I would ALWAYS be together with those friends; never alone.
