A spokeswoman for the hardware chain told The Wrap the company had “incomplete information” when it decided to stop advertising on “The Ingraham Angle.”
Ace was among numerous companies that fled Ingraham’s show after she mocked David Hogg, a survivor of the February mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, that left 17 people dead.
“Advertising on any network or show, is in no way an endorsement from Ace of the content contained or spoken within that program,” the Ace spokeswoman said in a statement.
“We appreciate the different points of view from our customers, and believe people should be treated with respect and civility. ... At this time, we have not altered our current media schedule; however, we regularly review our media strategy.”
A week ago, an unnamed Ace spokeswoman confirmed “we do not have any plans to nationally advertise on Ingraham’s show in the future,” according to The Wrap.
HuffPost couldn’t immediately reach an Ace representative for comment.

So dumb on their part to get dragged into this. They get hammered for boycotting, then for ending it...they should have just ignored it completely and it would have been forgotten a week later.
These companies need to stop acting out of haste or panic then realizing weeks later they overreacted.
I think I’ll go there tomorrow for a screwdriver. And perhaps a Bloody Mary too.

Laura is pretty conflicted tonight about the strikes on Syria.
Glad ACE Hardware came back. I called Liberty Mutual Insurance and gave them an earful. I told them I was surprised and pissed that, as a 30 year customer, that I had to read about their passive move without informing their customers they were pulling ads. I told them it was “corporate cowardice”. I also reminded them my insurance renewal would be coming up in a couple of months and that I was monitoring their actions.

I am going to send them an email tonight. I do a lot of business at Ace.
After her smirking, obnoxious behavior tonight, I think I’m going to contact Ace and ask them to resume the boycott.
