President Donald Trump will reportedly host a private dinner for French President Emmanuel Macron at Mount Vernon, the colonial home of George Washington.
The rare honor was reported Sunday by the French publication, Journal du Dimanche.
"Donald Trump and his wife Melania will welcome Emmanuel and Brigitte Macron to Mount Vernon for a private dinner on the evening of their arrival in Washington on April 23," a translation of the report stated.
"The American organizers of the French president's state visit to the United States wanted to be at the height of the reception at the Eiffel Tower where
Macron had invited the Trump last July," the report stated, noting Mount Vernon is built on the heights of the Potomac.

All things considered, Macron is probably about as good as you’re going to get out of France.

I suppose we should be grateful that he’s married to an actual XX woman.

But no young mistresses I guess, so that keeps him less busy than his predecessors?

And she’s a child predator. I think we’re hearing a lot these days about female teachers hitting on male students. Nowadays they get arrested. Mrs. Macron, being one of the first, got away with it.

All issues with the current French government leadership aside, I’m sure it will be a gracious and tastefully done event led by the President and First Lady.

I wasn’t aware of this situation, just looked it up. It is rather creepy. And she’s 24 years older than him. Strange.

Macron is the only western Euro leader to not put Trump at arm's length. He hosted him on Bastille day last year. He's coming here. Meanwhile in England, they are still trying to figure out how to uninvite him without it damaging our relationship permanently - which it should.
I don't think Macron is in any way on Trump's side but it seems he may be the only leader in western Europe to not be a big baby.
