They kept mentioning on the news that retired police officers in Deerfield, IL would be able to keep their "assault weapons", but one item that I didn't see the news pick up on was that, according to the ordinance, ANY government employee is exempt from the ordinance. So unless I can't read English properly, the bozo down at the Public Works Dept. or the Teachers Union goon can keep theirs. This needs to be pointed out big time; more evidence of government rule over us peasants.

This is the problem with all of these power grabs. They always exclude themselves. Congress did it with ObamaCare and pretty much every state and jurisdiction does this with the 2nd amendment. In nearby California, they’ve disarmed civilians, the ones that follow the laws.

I tend to agree...non-compliance will be the full effect of this. Some cops might try to go out of their way to enforce it, as some vendetta against some local guy.
I would suggest in a decade....dozens of cities will have done this, and we will have invented a word for this non-compliance.

This is just a theory, but I think it has some merit.
I believe the economic relationship between the U.S. and Communist China has had an impact on how people are being treated in America. The elite class are buying into the Chinese model because cheapened human beings are cheap. They are only peons.
Going is the respect for the dignity of the individual. Going are the liberties that made America great. Now individual initiative is going against the set policy and, if it does create value, it is to be stolen for the common good. The aim is to create the ideal group dynamic for the elite class to exploit as a means to line their own pockets. For this elite class, China is a classroom on how to do it. For them, because they know no history, Communism is good and something they believe will benefit them.

Most people have never heard of it so unless they have a lot of rich white liberals living there, they wouldn’t be a good target for the gangs from Chicago proper. Wonder what their opiate misuse and death rate is?

They absolutely do intend genocide and there is not a whit of paranoia necessary to be convinced of this beyond a reasonable doubt.
Just add up all the steps already taken on the way there, and ask yourself at what point they will voluntarily restrain themselves from pushing further and further and further.
