This thread is a friendly collaborative place for FReepers to analyze information and share opinons. FReepers have a wide variety of reasons for investigating Q Anon content; this is not the appropriate place to criticize or badger those who choose to use some of their time in this manner.

I plan to post one thread at a time and ping new drops posted to it. When I post each (new) thread, the prior thread is retired and all new posts occur on the newest thread.

Or Rosenstein took the recusal in combination with deliberate mis-interpretation of Comey's March 20 announcement, to cut Sessions out of as much as possible, and taking dishonest advantage of the proper recusal. Sessions should net be involved in investigating the Trump campaign,m he was part of it. But he can damn well investigate Manafort on tax and FARA matters, unrelated to the campaign.

Mueller has disclosed in public filing that he and Rosenstein interpret "any links and/or coordination between the Russian government and individuals associated with the campaign of President Donald Trump" as first taking account of individuals associated with Trump's campaign and then investigating whether they EVER had a link with the Russian government.

Seems damned dishonest to me. The point of the investigation was the campaign and the election, not the unrelated history of the cast of characters who were ever connected with the campaign.

Seems to me a basic, simple difference of interpretation, one that can and should be reined in.

Likewise any effort by Mueller to look into "obstruction" in firing of Comey, etc. Sessions can rein that in without offending his proper recusal. But first he needed an "in" to notice the dishonesty.

I'm not predicting that is what is going to happen, just remarking that much more came into public view yesterday, and speculating on the way that material can be used by both the pundit class and by the official actors.

I know a lot about airplanes. Back in the day airplane control surfaces, like ailerons for rolling the wings, elevator for making the nose go up or down and rudder for making the nose go left or right, were connected to the ‘wheel’ called a yoke (or stick) that the pilot used to fly (control) the flight path of the airplane.

Nowadays, modern transport type aircraft (people haulers) are controlled by servos that make the control surfaces move. These use computers and electronics to translate the pilot’s input on the yoke to control the flight surfaces (ailerons, etc.) movement. How do you kill a modern jet? Possibly take control of the electronics and literally fly it into the ground.

Is the swamp really THAT deep?

In a word: yes.

While the Civil Service System is supposed to be blind about hiring, it is not blind about promotions. For the last three generations or so, the entrenched leftists in government have been promoting according to ideology. . . and leaving those who do not meet their ideologically purity standards in dead end careers so they will leave government employment. Only those who meet their standards move up the career ladder in government bureaucracies.

Only outside "experts" who also meet the ideological requirements are hired to provide expert opinions on government projects, as determined by these bureaucrats. Grants are given preferentially to liberal/progressive ideologically correct organizations, researchers. Hiring is preferential from colleges/universities which are especially liberal/progressive. Just changing the political appointees heading these organizations will not change the entrenched workers who can prevent anything from changing.

That's why President Trump, in his State of the Union Speech, said to not be afraid to fire people . . . but it's really not as simple as that. . . again, because of those Civil Service Protections.

My aunt was the director of satellite image interpretation for the NSA 30 or more years ago. It was an important position. This woman was sent in as a Civil Service office worker. She showed up the first day, put a picture frame on her desk, took a coffee break, and never came back to work. It took my aunt over TWO YEARS to get this woman fired. Meanwhile, the woman was drawing a full pay check, took two vacations, full benefits, and THEN, after the fact of dismissal, filed a discrimination lawsuit against my aunt, claiming her firing was because she was black. In the second year of the effort, my aunt said she was spending up to 60% of her management time in the effort to get this woman discharged.

The Administrative Law Judge hearing the arbitration ordered the woman should receive an ADDITIONAL year of full pay and benefits, and be allowed to RETIRE at full pay—AFTER not even doing a single day of work (!)—due to being discriminated against by my aunt—who had NEVER, EVER SEEN HER—and only learned after the firing that she was black, as were better than 40% of the clerical employees in her office. My aunt took early retirement. . . because, she said, she heard other employees were considering taking a similar path to getting early retirement using the same approach as the woman had. My aunt said she could not stand the stress.

There-in lies the problem in laying any government employee off.

I hope so. I was formerly a big and goofy Sessions fan. He killed me at giving away the keys to the building, the bullies and the underworld. Made me sick.

When there is a tsunami alert, folks go up to the volunteer fire department building next to the airport. 113 feet above mean sea level. Highest elevation on the island is around 3000 feet.

He's had 'em all along. Of all people, he understands patience, timing, the system, and snakes. He was in the DOJ, nominated for a judicial appointment, and not confirmed by the Senate. So he ran for Senate, and won.

He didn't give away the keys to the DOJ, not the way most people view the situation. Complicated business, giving people rope, taking risks. I don't see some 4-D chess or anything, people are unpredictable. So are events. Sessions was bound to "wake up" at some point. He'll deal with the mess.

What we see is filtered clean stuff, produced for public consumption. He's considerably more wily out of sight.

One things I believe is that Sessions is not playing this game so he can win. He is playing so the rule of law can win.

Meanwhile, I figure he is indifferent to public sentiment toward him, personally. He's a grown man, confident and secure. What do you figure the pro/con press has been in the last year? 80/20? It's going to get worse!

It would be a good time to get all you want done all at once, that the press and Dems would scream about. Rip the bandaid off, all at once and leave the press with only so much that they can cover well. Just keep dropping horrible information about important people to destroy any traction the left could get. starting the week before you start your operation.
