You have to get the balance of the plane right for it to fly safely. Why does she not get it??
...not to worry lady...it all balances out in the end
She must not have been all that upset about the incident since she’s publicizing it and therefore drawing attention to herself.
Maybe she should just lose some weight.
If it was purely a weight issue, I’d want her over the CG point of the aircraft. Having her in the rear would make it harder to push the nose down - rear CG is more conducive to a stall situation.
Just purchase a row of seats
I sat on a Southwest flight last week. A woman sat next to me and I had to get up. Change seats. I had to move. Wasnt going to sit next to a stranger for two and a half hours wit her halfway on my lap.
In tolerable
Why doesnt she have to purchase two seats
I wouldn’t want her blocking the emergency exit row. Think of how long it would take her to get her fat ass out the exit.
She is grossly obese. There are real weight balancing issues on airplanes.
Physics rulez, unless you want to crash.
Apparently she was originally seated in an exit row.
On planes they frequently make the point that people who sit in an exit row may have to help other passengers, and if they cannot, they should ask the stewardess to move them.
So asking her to move was no big deal. The stewardess should have been nicer in informing her, but the move request was not unreasonable.
If she was black they would have taken the chance on the plane possibly crashing before they asked her to move.
I’m surprised the plane could take off at all.
Any pilot will tell you, weight and balance is critical.
Wait. Delta is responsible for what other passengers say?
Besides, if she simply did a belly flop on those people, they'd be grease spots.
If you have to have an extender, you don’t get to sit in an exit row.
A few years ago there was a Poirot, mystery set in the ‘30s where they showed passengers being weighed before they boarded the plane. I’ve flown on small commuter planes where they had us shift seats to balance the load, but in her case, I thinks it’s because they didn’t want her to block the exit row.
Gurl, we's gots ta get togetha ta file uh class action on dis here thin, don't make me come ova there, Delta...
Delta could not fit her in the overhead compartment.
The only real issue is that she got her feelings hurt and had a camera for the teary eyed opportunity to emote over how bad the world treats her because she is obese.
Depending on the type of plane, particularly commuters, center of gravity becomes critical. Weight distribution is important. The story didn't say type of airplane
Heard that her Business was French Fries Taster for a company boycotting the Fox Network.
Oh. The loadmaster didn’t want the plane to go into a nosedive
