To summarize a complicated tale, humans like to move and men were not picky.

No matter how compelling the DNA evidence may turn out to be, science will never accept the Tower of Babel explanation in Genesis 11:1-9. In fact, most Christians today do not accept the Bible’s explanation of the proliferation of languages and cultures.

Well do they have a better explanation or is it complete whack-a-doo like the Moon being spun off from the Earth?

Whenever I chat up Neanderthal chicks,
my Cro-Magnon gonads keep stalling.
It’s not a bad lick how her brow is too thick,
but that New Jersey accent’s appalling.

We may never see the face of Agamemnon, but we already have the DNA of the warlords of Mycenaean Greece, and in the future we could reconstruct their features from genes alone.
...
Law enforcement is already doing that and catching people.

Is David Reich also the lead scientist re: global warming?
DNA deteriorates over long periods of time...? I smell a Harvard social scam developing.

That’s a highly accurate surmise about men of today! We haven’t changed all that much.
They simply hit it no matter what!
Otherwise we all might not even be here.

To summarize a complicated tale, humans like to move and men were not picky. As it is now, so it has forever been.
Lots of things change, human nature is not one of those things.

New methods reveal that modern people are mostly unrelated to those who lived in the same area in the past. The ancestors of the modern British, for example, arrived 4,500 years ago and did not, in fact, raise up Stonehenge.
I thought we knew that already. Celts, Angles, Saxons, Normans all came along later.
But there are descendants of the pre-Celts in the British Isles now, right?
P.S. Memo to author of article: Try not to say "Reich" too much when writing about genetics and human origins. It's creepy.

My biggest joy in reading Herodotus is comparing the myths of the past with the myths of today.
Today’s media is no slouch in that department LOL!

Thank you!
That was very good!
I watched the whole thing, up to the questions at the end.
Bill, you should watch this, very informative and points to some of your theories especially on the Native American and European similarities.
