You might expect Stan Lee, at age 95, to be enjoying the fruits of his many labors: Marvel Comics, the company he served as the former president and chairman of, dominates popular culture. Characters he co-created among them Spider-Man, Iron Man, X-Men, and the Avengers are household names. Hes a comics legend, with his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. When Marvel sold to Disney in 2010 for $4 billion, he personally pocketed a cool $10 million, and tours the world as its ambassador emeritus. And midway through his tenth decade, Black Panther, based on a character he and Jack Kirby first envisioned in 1966, currently sits atop the global box office charts, and carries a Rotten Tomatoes score of 97%.
Instead, seven months after the death of Joan, his wife of almost 70 years, beset with pneumonia, the apparent victim of gross financial malfeasance and surrounded by a panoply of Hollywood charlatans and mountebanks, he may be facing his greatest challenge, every bit the equal of any of the psychologically flawed superheroes he helped shepherd into being. According to one insider with working knowledge of Lees current situation, Its a real ----ing mess over there. I think his money will be gone in a few weeks
Stan and [his daughter] JC are literally being picked apart by vultures.

His a democrat but I don’t how much of “liberal whack job” he is. If you read his old comic books he was very much anti-USSR. The dude created Iron Man with a weapons manufacturer as the hero and the origin of the FF was based on an attempt to “beat the reds” into space.
I think he has/had a bit of the old Scoop Jackson Democrat in him.
Actually, I think it was Stan’s daughter who chose wrong. I don’t think Stan’s quite all there at this point.
He writes comic books, for pete’s sake! Leo Tolstoy he ain’t.
If I recall correctlyand its certainly possible I may nothe got tied up with the Clinton Foundation and was actually suing them for what they took from him. According to this article, he and his daughter are easy marks. I dont doubt hes a lib, but its not hard to believe Hillary sweet talked him about charitable causes and got her hooks in him.
And it certainly sounds plausible that the recent sexual harassment allegations against him are completely made up to squeeze more money out of him.
From reading Stans bullpen bulletins all those years in Marvel comics, he adored his wife. I wouldnt be surprised if her death has made him give up.
Non-Christian activity.
Sounds like another “Grey Gardens” is about to happen. (if you haven’t watched the movie, at least catch a clip on youtube, it’s hard to describe)
None of this surprises me, Hollywood has been doing this to their elderly forever.
Stan and [his daughter] JC are literally being picked apart by vultures.
Literally?
And THAT is the story of America. Edison stole the motion picture projector patent from an Italian. Marconi stole radio from Tesla.
Zuckerberg stole Facebook from the Winkelvoss’ twins.
That’s America.
Most men don’t do well after the death of their spouse. I know I wouldn’t care to outlive Mrs. Smittie.
>>All the other countries say its literally the most difficult language to learn................
What do you expect from foreigners? /s
Hes been doing a farewell tour of comic cons for a couple of years. Prior to that he was often at conventions, where long lines of fans paid a LOT of money for his autograph and a photo. A recent one I heard about had a special VIP event to have a meal with him and the group of other VIPs. If he lost that last bunch of money, its a shame.
well done!
Stan’s daughter is the one isolating him, and cutting off his communication. Max doted on Stan like his son, and is distraught to tears over Stan being used and abused. Anyone who knew Max and Stan’s relationship knows that he’s being slandered and cut out of Stan’s life.
Those two were a trip.
Considering the fact that at the time he was no longer actually a part of Marvel, had actually taken a payout to be gone, the fact that he got any money at all is pretty impressive.
I don’t dispute that. I was simply pointing out that she was the one who brought these dirtbags into her extremely elderly father’s life and let them steal his (not her) money.
I’m studying Hebrew. My vote is for Hebrew to be the most difficult language to learn, drat it.
Many people think she’s actually the one stealing his money.
