For Culpeper state Del. Nick Freitas, the rule of law is a matter of his whim, Saturdays Virginia Tea Party debate revealed. The would-be Senator with an apparent allergy to making and enforcing laws, said he absolutely would not prosecute municipal authorities who create sanctuary cities, shocking many tea partiers at the March 17 VATP debate.

Then you don't understand the GOP.
This guy just blew a chance to become a major political player. After his Delegates speech the future looked really bright for him, but this extinguishes that future entirely.
This is an opinion piece, designed to support Corey Stewart. Freitas voted to ban sanctuary cities in Virginia as a member of the House of Delegates.
Contrary to what John Griffing claims in this article, Corey Stewart didn’t “prosecute” anyone as a supervisor in Prince William County.
Rather than uncritically accept what John Griffing says, watch the entire debate and then decide for yourself.
Do you think Jeff Flake would give this speech?

If the straw poll taken that night at the Virginia Tea Party is accurate, Freitas is leading at 65 percent against 35 percent for Stewart, according to Tea Party chairman Rick Buchanan. Those numbers invert in scientific polls performed by the respected Wason Center for Public Policy at Christopher Newport University.
VA is now a solid blue state. The Dems have won the last 14 statewide elections. I know and like Corey Stewart, but no Rep is going to win a VA statewide election for a long, long time.
The VA (R) party has been co-opted.....................
That clip is about guns, not the illegal alien inundation.
If he is not on the side of the citizens and the rule of law, it doesn’t matter what speech he made about something else.
Texas may like open borders Bush League Republican candidates, but in Virginia we are sick of them.
This is typical of VA GOP politics and why you must research everything before you come to any conclusions. Many of the comments on this thread only verify my assertions.
Bush League Republicans still control much of the VA GOP.
That’s how we end up with losers like Ed Gillespie, losing a Senate and Governor race.
How come the ruling political class can ignore federal law, yet we must pay federal taxes?
Why can’t we ignore federal law too?
AZ is being manipulated into electing McSallycain as the next Amnesty Senator.
Joe Arpaio is only in the race to block Kelli Ward.
These RINOS are as bad as the Democrats (or worse).
Once again, Freitas voted to ban sanctuary cities as a member of the House of Delegates.
If he was for open borders, why vote to ban sanctuary cities?
Listen to his own words, on the tape, he says he will not go after sanctuary cities that flout federal immigration laws.
AZ is being manipulated into electing McSallycain as the next Amnesty Senator.
Joe Arpaio is only in the race to block Kelli Ward.

You are 100% correct. Whichever candidate gets the most votes in the Arizona Republican primary will be the Republican candidate in the general election there is NOT a runoff if no candidate gets the majority of the votes.
Joe Arpaios ego is getting in the way of his recognizing that the National GOPe Mitch McConnell RINOs are using him to maximize the likelihood that Amnesty-girl McSally gets the nomination. The way I see it, the only way an American Patriot gets one of the two Arizona US Senate seats if for McCain to die soon.
AZ Gov will appoint a Bush League Republican.
well, gee, seems to me if a candidate publically refuses to uphold the Constitution and the laws of the land, he’s made himself ineligible for office.
For sure.
