Does anyone have the right to sex?
London Review of Books ^ | March 22, 2018 | Amia Srinivasan

On 23 May 2014, Elliot Rodger, a 22-year-old college dropout, became the world’s most famous ‘incel’ – involuntary celibate. The term can, in theory, be applied to both men and women, but in practice it picks out not sexless men in general, but a certain kind of sexless man: the kind who is convinced he is owed sex, and is enraged by the women who deprive him of it. Rodger stabbed to death his two housemates, Weihan Wang and Cheng Hong, and a friend, George Chen, as they entered his apartment on Seville Road in Isla Vista, California. Three hours later he drove to the Alpha Phi sorority house near the campus of UC Santa Barbara. He shot three women on the lawn, killing two of them, Katherine Cooper and Veronika Weiss. Rodger then went on a drive-by shooting spree through Isla Vista, killing Christopher Michaels-Martinez, also a student at UCSB, with a single bullet to the chest inside a Deli Mart, and wounding 14 others. He eventually crashed his BMW coupé at an intersection. He was found dead by the police, having shot himself in the head.

My first question would be "does it have a MUTE button?

The second being can it make a sandwich

Lesbians are being shamed and shunned for not having sex with mentally ill men (with penises) who identify as women and thus magically count as lesbians.
Yes, lesbians are told they’re privileged and exclusionary if they don’t have sex with crazy men.
Conservatives would apply guilt to sexual situations outside of marriage. Liberals are trying to guilt trip people into promiscuity without standards. You’re BAD if you don’t have sex with everyone who asks.
Hence the articles that came out that the heterosexual guy who doesn’t have sex with his homosexual friend is being mean. How dare you refuse sex, you bigot!

Liberals look at “Brave New World” and see utopia, not dystopia. Everyone has sex with everyone else, everyone is happy! The only criticism today is that it is heteronormative.

“There are wives who puposely deny their spouse sex.

There are women who weaponize sex and the word “no”.

It doesn’t validate any action against the aggressor.”

It does give the husband scriptural grounds to divorce his sexually unfaithful wife. But you’re right in that he cannot take action to force her to fulfill his “right”.

I should have realized earlier in my “marriage” that when my wife said to a bunch of friends and relatives, “Just withhold sex” to make your husband comply, I should’ve ended it right there.

It took me another 20 years before I fully understood the human behind that statement could not be lived with.

#5: "Sounds like a Muslim."

Not surprising that American girls weren't interested. He would have been better off back in England, or returning to Malasyia where at least he would have looked like he belonged there.

Yes, you have a right to sex, so why don’t you just go (blank) yourself.

To sum up: Life is hard, but life for atheists is even harder, because they must fight for the political power to compel others not just to do what they want—but to like it.

This essay is an overthinker's overthinking about how to force random people to have sex with people they don't want to have sex with.

There was but one small sentence fragment in this entire navel-gazing protofascist screed that was worth reading:

the argument made by anti-trans feminists: that trans women equate, and conflate, womanhood with the trappings of traditional femininity, thereby strengthening the hand of patriarchy.
This load of codswallop is what goes through the tortured mind of a person whose life is lived apart from God and God's Word, and for whom sex is not a sacramental gift between two people in holy matrimony for a lifetime. Instead it is an individual social commodity, a form of currency like dirty money: the more you have, the more you can get. Except that the harvest of this particular seed is soul-deep loneliness.

Nope. Sex takes two. You have no right to anyone else’s labor. That why we abolished slavery.

I liked what Amy Schumer had to say about it.

“I stopped dating Arabic men.
Now I’m into *consensual* sex.”

There are women who do this ... and then wonder why their men no longer are attracted to them and find “it” elsewhere. Using sex as a weapon is a sure way to be “re-singled”

That describes no atheist I have ever known, but we’re all entitled to our fantasies, I suppose.

After 5 years of involuntary celibacy, I moved out and sought a divorce.

My “best friend”, the mother of my children, decided unilaterally that sex wasn’t important. Now, I don’t know if she was getting any on the side, but I sure wasn’t.

I one time equated it to her like this:

You can only wear Manolo Blahnik shoes. However, when you go to the store to look at them, it’s closed. Or, the sales person isn’t around, and you can’t anyone to help you look for the style/size/color you want. Or, the perfect shoes are available, but not the size you wear. Or, the price has been jacked up 5,000 times what you expected.

So, that’s why she’s an ex-wife. No cuddles, hand holding, hugs, kisses, or sex (it’s icky!), for 5+ years? You’re not a wife, you’re a barely tolerated roommate.

It happened in our marriage year 4 and it took me to year 8 (I became a Christian and began to really study the Bible year 2) to figure out the sexual unfaithfulness bit. When I showed Mrs. BCC and our pastor what I figured out, THEN we got our marriage straightened out.

Amazingly, our Pastor then, great guy and wonderful mentor, hadn’t seen that type of behavior as sexual unfaithfulness until I gave him my explanation. Seems simple to me, 1 Cor 7:5 Do not deprive each other except perhaps by mutual consent and for a time, so that you may devote yourselves to prayer. Then come together again so that Satan will not tempt you because of your lack of self-control. NIV Her decision that we were not going to make love was not “mutual consent”, and she was leaving the both of us weaker to Satan’s temptation to find someone else attractive. Fortunately neither of us buckled from the temptation and the marriage was salvaged. We’re in 31+ years now.

Sorry your situation totally failed Brother.

I’d be worried about some of my more personal parts getting caught up in the wires and gears.

I'm sure it's as safe and reliable as a self-driving car. What could go wrong?
