A Portland woman ignited a social media fire this week over a confrontation with a restaurant diner she says was wearing a shirt with a Nazi symbol.
As Raw Story first reported, on March 13, Deavon Snoke was dining at Kachkaa Russian restaurant owned by Bonnie Frumkin Morales, who is Jewish and whose family fled the Holocaust, and her husband Israel Morales, who is Mexicanwhen she spotted a man sporting a "Luftwaffe" t-shirt.
I was asked to leave Kachka tonight for calling this Nazi out, Snoke wrote on Facebook. Remember his face. Memorize the symbolism on his shirt. Yell as loud as you can.
The post has been shared more than 500 times, with comments such as I dont think I could even hurt my fist punching this Nazi.

According to my husband, two tours in Germany with the US Army, that is just the normal current German Air Force T-shirt. Not Nazi.
She probably would have had a total melt down if someone had offered her some streuselkuchen.
No Swastika.
The Luftwaffe still uses the eagle, from what I know. The only difference is the Nazi Germany era one had a swastika below its talons, which I don’t see on that shirt.
It is Portland, after all.
What, you thought Portlandia was only comedy?
It’s the logo minus the swastika that the eagle is supposed to be clutching, as per the internet. Today’s Luftwaffe’s logo is an equilateral cross.
Supporting Nazism is often against the law in the United States. Supporting the Nazi Party means support for an organization that advocates the overthrow of the US Government and violates the Smith Act. You should study up before posting.
Hmmm. Streuselkuchen sounds good about now. Sort of a cheescake, right?
Aber, mochten Sie etwas essen Apfelstrudel?
AppleStrudel is one of my favorites when hot.
So gothic font and a Nazi-era symbol = what in your mind? It’s certainly nothing remotely resembling today’s German Air Force. Seems like this guy was trying to provoke a reaction. Seems like he succeeded.
Nope
It’s a miracle that some people can breathe without thinking about it.

If he was wearing a “Che” shirt she would have kissed him...
Your husband is wrong. Google it.
It's a modern t shirt. Yes, it looks like they took the WWII style eagle as a design element. But, there's no swastika. If you started pulling random people off the street and showed them stylized eagle designs from the WWII German air force, how many people would you have to go through before you found someone who could place it? 10,000 maybe?
That crazy woman was reacting to the word: Luftwaffe.
This was the Nazi Luftwaffe's emblem:
This is the current Luftwaffe's emblem:
As for the T-shirt pictured above, you can buy it on this German website for €19.90. Selling Nazi regalia is illegal in Germany.
Ooh, a dine and dash under the cover of reighteous indignation? An angle I hadnt considered!
Oh, I was just talking about Free Speech. I wasn’t aware there were specific Laws about Nazism.
I guess I’ll study up on that.
I guess I had better let MeTV know so they will stop running Hogan’s Heroes Reruns.
Even if you’re right, what do you care? I wasn’t aware shrieking at a stranger in public, in a restaurant whose owner doesn’t mind it, is a smart thing to do.
The shirt did not have the swastika on it, just the eagle. The eagle is the current symbol of Germany. GO to the Reichtstag in Berlin. You will see a three story fierce German eagle.
That idiot would also really freak out, if she knew the Luftwaffe students, go to pilot training in Wichita Fall, Tx.
That's why the German site is selling it. It appeals to current German patriotic sentiments.
Selling the version showing the eagle clutching the swastika would be illegal under the Strafgesetzbuch section 86a.
