Every year, I wake up on March 8 to a flurry of tweets from men wishing me a Happy International Womens Day!
And every year, I find myself thinking: Well, thanks, but is that it? Is that all the support for gender equality that you can muster? For the entire year? Its a nice sentiment, but at a time when the gender pay gap means that women in the UK work for free for 67 days each year, Black women in the US are three to four times more likely to die in childbirth than white women, and trans women in the US are four times more likely to be murdered than cis women, it doesnt quite do it for me.

The biggest wasters of time at meeting tend to be women.
Grumpy Cat NO! That is none of their business.
Given that 72% of black children are out of wedlock, some of that black vs white mortality difference is due to some kind of choice where prenatal care is not sought. Adjust for things like tobacco, alcohol, and drug abuse and I wonder what the data look like?
If it quacks like a duck then it is a duck.
60. ... wash her bras.
Ummm, no. She can wash her own bras.
Can anyone tell me what this means???
“Broady”, LOL
OK. I can’t say this is the biggest basket of happy horseshit I have ever seen, but it’s definitely “Top 10” material.
Only Commie liberals notice when it’s International Women’s Day.
Me and my friends have never noted it, texted about it, or felt necessary to reflect on it.
Here’s #101: if you have to obsess about this day, you’re doing something wrong.
This one item explains what is wrong with the rest of the list:
“12. Examine your language when talking about women. Get rid of irrational, dramatic, bossy, and badgering immediately.”
94. Understand that not all women have periods or vaginas.
I swear I am not making that up. That is actually on the list.
This women is insane. Just mad as a hatter.
I will not celebrate the anniversary of the womens garment workers union strike in Petrograd that was the event that triggered the Bolshevik Revolution. I dont support Bolsheviks, so why should I celebrate their revolution by observing International Womens Day?
Similarly, I will not celebrate Lenins birth-day, which falls, not at all coincidentally, on Earth Day.
I didn’t go onto grad school (English literature major) when NYU had Toni Morrison books on their reading list but not Emily Bronte’s admittedly difficult poetry. I figured I’d be miserable attending classes.
The truth does not need to be drilled into your head by rote repetition. If you have to tell yourself something over and over again before you will believe it, it is almost certainly false.
Do not underestimate us when we’re doing jobs that men have done and are doing. I don’t know how many times when after landing and people are deplaning look on the flight deck and see me and shake their heads.
Having a Mother and a Wife waiting tables, I've know that for years. It is a fact. Plus, another so-called minority group who give lousy tips or none at all are many Blacks.
Singsong: I'm a racist, I'm anti-fem. And I call them as I see 'em.
Excuse me, but what about men? Over the course of the last several decades we have seen the rightful reduction of unwarranted discrimination against women...but things have actually “done a 180” to the point of having men discriminated against.
How many men get primary custody of their kids? Just about zero.
How many Family Court judges are women-hating men...as opposed to the healthy percentage who are divorced, man-hating women? Not a lot.
How many men are given the benefit of the doubt in a domestic violence situation? Not many - and there are plenty of women who know that very well, and play it for all that it is worth.
Why is it that boys who act like boys end up getting medicated in grade school, etc., while girls don’t?
Why is it that women have become the majority (and not be a little) at our colleges and universities?
There are MANY more such issues and anecdotes, but they illustrate the problem - we have gone WAY beyond restoring any kind of fairness to male-female relations and (specifically) the legalities of such relations. The same can be said, of course, regarding race relations, where white people are at a huge disadvantage to “people of color” in the courts, and in dealings with the government.
Fixing discrimination is not only fine - it is very desirable. But going beyond equality and into reverse discrimination is not on not just, it is simple revenge. That deserves no place in our nation.
The self-hatred is gushing from this reporter like the Mississippi River in flood-stage.
This woman needs some serious help.
For those of us that don’t know what “cis” is....
“Cisgender (often abbreviated to simply cis) is a term for people whose gender identity matches the sex that they were assigned at birth. “
