No good reason for Sen. Warren to avoid a DNA test
Chicago Tribune ^ | 3/13/2018 | John Kass

Isn’t it delicious that Fauxcahontas, aka Sen. Elizabeth Warren — the liberal Massachusetts Democrat toying with a 2020 presidential run — is refusing to take a DNA test to finally prove whether her self-serving claims of Cherokee heritage are true?

Actually, watching Warren squirm and Chuck Todd all but flagellate himself for having to ask about the DNA test on “Meet the Press” was more than delicious.

It was tasty, kind of like a French omelet with crab meat at a fancy restaurant frequented by the Duke and Duchess of Windsor.

"I know who I am, and never used it for anything. Never got any benefit from it anywhere,” Warren said, protesting too much.

Oh, no, of course not.

She just claimed Native American status while teaching law at Harvard, and Harvard flaunted it as proof of faculty diversity. It’s all about checking the right racial boxes.

And until she takes that DNA test — or releases the findings to show that she is indeed part Cherokee — it will dog her, like some rogue beast of liberal Democratic identity politics, trotting behind her wherever she goes.

The liberal Democratic Media Complex does not love this story. But Warren’s DNA drama gets to the heart of the thing.

Democrats are thoroughly dominated by the hard left now, and except for bizarre socialist economics drawn from “The Big Rock Candy Mountain,” they’re all about identity politics all the time.

The Democratic Party is hip-deep in the politics of race and gender, and uses these as tools to carve and parcel out power, resources and benefits, relying on skin pigments and chromosomes (or the lack thereof), grievance and victimhood.

Identity politics has been the left’s recipe for years, and watching Warren squirm was just

Such a phony, I can’t believe the Dems would touch her with a 10’ pole. (Indeed, that probably explains those circular bruises all over her.) Not only is she a fake, she also doesn’t have an original thought in her head and plagiarized supposedly Indian recipes for a cookbook:

“If the spit don’t fit,
you must discard it!”

Very good chance she did a test under another name so no one could leak the info.

I agree with others that Warren has very likely had the test done. Just have someone else order a kit and send it in with a fake name. Although if she did that with ancestry.com or 23andMe, it would be funny if a cousin or closer relative also sent their dna in and she was matched as a relative. (The daughter of a second cousin recently sent in her DNA and then asked her her dad why this woman would come up as her aunt. My cousin whose approaching 80 found out he had a half sister no one in the living family knows about - they made contact and have met.)

No good reason for Sen. Warren to avoid a DNA test

Just as Trump supporters didn't need to see his tax returns to vote for him Senator Warren's supporters may not need to know her heritage.

This issue is part of the vetting process if Senator Warren runs for elected office. Senator Warren would take a decision to reveal or conceal her heritage based on whether it helps or hinders her chance of election.

I am surprised she didn’t grab someone else’s results and put them out as her own. You know, with 78% Cherokee genes.

If Pocahontas’s grandmother had Cherokee DNA, then that can also be tested with the DNA of all the descendants of that grandmother and all the descendants of that grandmother’s siblings.

This is true, but do note that even siblings of the same mother and father can have a different %age of a geographical gene group. Let’s say one parent came from Africa. One child can have, say, 45% west African, and the sibling could have 38% west African. It’s not an exact thing because children of a parent don’t get the same exact genes from each parent.

Just think of all of the “casino money” she’s missing out on by not taking this DNA test. “I had no idea.”

True, but if anyone of that grandmother's (or her siblings') descendants have no Cherokee blood than Warren's grandmother didn't have any and Warren has none.

I know who I am, >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

We do not. And certainly native Americans have been highly skeptical.

Hokypontus will never attain higher office unless she can verify her genetic 1st nation status.

There actually is a good reason for her to refuse to take one of the commercial DNA tests. As a member of the ruling class, she knows the real purpose of the tests - to build a DNA database for future use as needed. (Read the fine print on the materials from the two main providers, and see who really owns the results).
