An actors' union is calling for on-set observers to monitor all sex scenes for major Hollywood films.
The move, triggered by the Harvey Weinstein sexual harassment scandal, is part of a new code of conduct from the Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists, which represents more than 160,000 actors in the US.
The union, SAG-AFTRA, produced a detailed seven-page guide that aims to tackle workplace sexual harassment in films, TV shows and commercials.

I prefer a man in a $3,000 suit. I used to have a picture of Scott Glenn in clothing ad from Forbes on my desk at work.
Can’t say I remember that scene. But I barely remember that movie. Was it gratuitous? Or truly a plot device?
Team America: World Police would not have been the same without the sex scene.
LOL...I meant in a movie such as Thor. Give me a man in a plaid shirt, Wranglers and boots who can easily switch to a $3k suit as needed.
Pornography is obviously superfluous.
Key words: “I enjoy”
Don’t know that movie :)
This sounds like another union do nothing patronage job.
Chris Hemsworth is as cute as a litter of Golden Retriever puppies. So was Kevin Sorbo as “Hercules,” but I never thought the bare chest added anything. Just let me see the shoulders!
There is a device, and I don’t remember the name of it, that is used by women on screen that blocks entry to her vagina during filmed perceived intercourse. Probably the most famous of these is the one Sharon Stone refused to use during her scenes with Michael Douglas in Basic Instinct. She admitted to not using it and said she trusted Douglas not to take advantage of the situation.
Additionally, what they are asking for is the return of the organization that used to monitor scenes for the movies, The Hays Commission.

Nothing’s better then hot puppet sex!
Yes, as someone wrote, Casablanca would have been a great movie, if it had only had a nude sex scene. Sex scenes are SO necessary to great drama. Too bad Shakespeare left out the sex scenes. His plays might have amounted to something
The baby scense seals it!! lol
NO ONE goes to see for that anymore.
they’ve got phones and laptops and 2 in 1 convertibles and all in ones and even desktops for the older perverts lol
What scares me is the depths of INSANITY and DEPRAVED thinking happens in the world because there AINT NOTHIN you can’t find.
I’m 49 and married some years now but i was still in my 20s when the internet came about and WAY too many guys at work were coming in sleepless because porn is addicting as all HECK!!
I will neither state my guilt or innocense back then!!
But I can say it has and will continue to have devastating consequences on the country.
My pop always said hard work and sports keeps you out of trouble. He was right.
The BEST movies i’ve ever seen had NO sex in them. Citizen Kane, All About Eve, The Quiet Man, even modern movies like Gladiator, A Beautiful Mind, it’s NOT NEEDED.
Shakespeare had lots of sex, my friend.
When Romeo goes off into a lengthy description of Juliette’s ear, he could only have done it from up very close, as in ... well ... slaking.
Oh..Sorbo in “Hercules” was indeed a fine specimen.
Some recent Shakespeare-based movies have added sex, on the grounds that any time there’s no dialogue the action is up to the director. Obviously, that’s also how you get a battle in.
I think that the idea that the characters had sex can be implied without showing a few seconds of their pretending to do it.
It wouldn’t have been an enjoyable show, though, if he hadn’t had such a sweet personality. His sidekick, New Zealand’s premier Shakespearian actor, was a lot of fun, too ... and very appealing in a medium-sized way. I’m under 5’4”, myself ;-).
Because thats what the women want to see. Remember Fifty Shades of Gray
Uh oh. Now you’ve done it. I can hear the pearls being clutched from here.
So actors involved in perverted porno sex scenes want observers to worry about possible sexual harassment? This is too funny.
