We have people of all persuasions doing this. Anyone who gets too obsessed with politics needs to take a break from the news. Because the average person has about as much impact on it as he does on the weather. And obsessing about politics is not any healthier than obsessing about a movie star or a sports team.

Actually, there are millions of people like this. They’re just not that interested, and have better things to do with their lives.

Actually, I am kind of on this guy's side. Most news today is trying to manipulate you emotionally. "Triggering" someone is a victory to the press. I really think it gives people mental health issues, and certainly makes them more politically polarized. Unfortunately he incorrectly assigns Trump responsibility for his feelings, rather than those who are trying to manipulate his feelings.
Back in the mid 90s I turned off my TV, and eventually gave it away. I like to read the news at Free Republic, because it is just words written in black and white, as non triggering, non manipulative as it gets. I still know what is going on, but due to the nature of FR, I am supposed to have my own opinions about that is going on.
If it makes him happy, let him be.

I’ve known people like this before. In the early 80’s I knew of a girl who hated all news. She wouldn’t watch it on tv. She turned it off if it came on the radio. She would even hold her hand up to block her view of newspapers in vending machines. As you can imagine she wasn’t much of a conversationalist.

Trump’s background in real estate is a definite plus.
He is living rent-free in this buffoon’s head (and thousands like it). 24 X 7 X 365 (or 366).
