We have people of all persuasions doing this. Anyone who gets too obsessed with politics needs to take a break from the news. Because the average person has about as much impact on it as he does on the weather. And obsessing about politics is not any healthier than obsessing about a movie star or a sports team.

Yes. I did the same thing right after Obama was re-elected. No news. No Rush. No Free Republic. I purposely avoided even looking at the newspaper headlines in the food stores. I figured whatever that POS was doing to my country, I was better off not knowing it.
