The Academy Awards celebrate the best and brightest talents in Hollywood, from on-screen stars to costume creators to musical geniuses.
However when it comes fashion, the red carpet not only plays host to some of the award season's most successful moments, it also serves as a backdrop for some of the year's most awkward sartorial failures.
At this year's Oscars, it was Olympic skiing star Lindsey Vonn, 33, who led the charge as far as worst-dressed celebrities, totally missing the mark in a gothic black lace dress, which featured awkward cut-outs at the knee, as well as some bizarre tassel embellishments that did little to elevate her look.

This guy was probably better dressed than Lindsay. What was she there for, anyway? Was simply trashing Trump publicly the only thing she had to do to get an invite?
She’s an athlete, not a Hollywood star, so she doesn’t know what forms of bad taste are appropriate for the Oscars?
