Think about it...could he have won the rats primary....and the election...
What if my aunt had balls.
Check yourself in a mental hospital.
Stupid ass post...
What would you think if the sun rose in the west?
Just put both questions in the stuff-I-don’t-waste-time-thinking-about file.
FR used to discourage vanity posting.
It’s a shame what we’ve come to.
Is the U for Uber-man?
If Trump was a Dem there would no tax cut. No tough immigration. No wall. More regulations. In other words Trump wouldn’t be Trump.
if dog rabbit
And if my aunt had balls she’d be my uncle.
Yay! A break from all the sanity!
Wait a minute......
Well, that would be interesting. But he’d have saved the democrat party, and probably would not have been public enemy #1 of the deep state. Then again, they hated Kennedy and Truman so...
Not worth taking my time to think about.
Better to deal with political realities than imaginary scenarios.
She’d be your uncle.
But when it came time to run, he had to calculate his chances, of course. I think he was just a better fit with the Republicans by then (the establishment ones didn't agree). Either way he was going to have a face off with Hillary which I'm sure he knew. If he had run as a Democrat, which he could have decided to do anyway even with the same platform, Hillary had the DNC stacked in her favor.
I don't know what he would have done but on the eve of the election, I think Ivanka warned him that he more likely wasn't going to win. I didn't think he was either, and could hardly believe it watching the returns as the tide turned in his favor. He made political history, maybe in a way no one ever did before.
Would Bernie really have beat Hillary it it had been fair? I'm not sure he would.
Isn't that like asking "if a frog had wings would he still bump his butt"?
Except more unbelievable.
He knew he needed a national party in order to run and the R branch of the Uniparty was more readily accessible due too the corruption of the Clintons that permeated the D branch.
Remember, he’d been watching this for a long time, and knew the power and finance structures well.
But to your real point, had Hillary not been in the picture and say Joe Biden or someone was the leading D candidate, I think Trump could have done the same thing and taken the nomination with a very similar populist and nationalist platform. Obviously he would have lost many conservatives and the extreme left as well, but could he have formed enough of a MAGA coalition? I think that’s the essence of your question and as some of us said when the primary wars were in full swing and some would say “Donald Trump is not conservative!” , our response was “so what”.
Still would have beat Hillary like a dead mule
One sure bet, after 8 years he’ll never be a Demonrat again.
FR used to be a place for intelligent conversation and thought-provoking analysis too, but as you can see by looking over this threat, “what we’ve come to”.
In the primary? I’m not so sure.
Would the DNC have seated his delegates? Some years ago, Lyndon Larouche won 2 delegates in the Ohio primary but the DNC refused to seat them. The DNC actually argued that the voting rights act didn’t apply to them.
