What Elementary School Did You Go To?
You don't have to mention the name.
Mine was a Catholic School,1st Grade through 8th Grade,learned a lot,those Nuns where tuff;)
Mid 60s: Warner Robins (nuns).
Late 60s: Public school in Wine Country.
Regards,
I bet that at least your nuns had English as a First Language!
Regards,
The first one, the first grades in school are in Brentwood. Right on Sunset. Very small classes ... there were about 15 kids in mine that would graduate per year.
From there I went to Marymount High School. Classes were a little larger. Just 40 to 50 people would graduate each year. It’s on Sunset. Spanish Colonial, very pretty inside. A small white marble chapel inside ... the Christ statue outside as you go around the curve.
Very nice school ... very well known classmates. If I named them, I would be shocked if you did not immediately know of them. I was blessed that my family was willing to send me. It elicits comments if people see it on my resume.
Did you grow up in LA too?
Very late to the show. I went to the same school my mother did. Cooke Elementary and Junior high, Detroit. K through 8th.
Im not sure.....I dont recall to be honest
We had friends in Laurel and would go to a swimming lake that had a beach and a pier and several high dives and most importantly a tower dive that went up to over 100 foot for exhibitions pro divers
I went up to 72 foot with my tennis shoes on and about killed myself ..hurt bad
I did the strong river a lot....went to camp Mondamin as a kid and canoed the river later as an adult
Did the homochitto and the tickfaw too
We had a lake cabin at lake Bruin Louisiana and I spent most summers there.....the best
With my cousins...
71. Radcliffe for shop, Karkut math teacher. Nachbor was just a bad person.
As to the obit. What a bunch of nonsense. I remember Mr Woll . He was a good guy.
Actually class of 71. The car was put in the locker room, not the restroom. I did not participate. But I know the perpetrators, and enjoyed seeing it. April Fools Day 1967. I was there
I do not understand these threads that ask questions
that are also security questions on different places
for your password.
I must be overly paranoid.
We had the san teachers.
By my time, picking up the red ( fiat ? ) was a ritual. It was carried to the grass football field one night
Did Radclff have that Morris Minor Station Wagon with the wood veneer sides ?
You guys are the ones who drove VWs down the corridors on weekends - correct ?
Wow, its rare someone beats me. 8 schools K-12, 3 on military bases, the rest public.
(I'm kidding!)
Being a military brat, I started 1st grade in a US Army school in France, Poitiers American School, 1958.
Kindergarten through 4th grade - Catholic with Nuns who wouldv’e whacked the shooter’s knuckles with the sharp edge of a ruler, shoved a pointer up his @$$ and led him to the Mother Superior via a semi-detached ear and laid a real hurting on him....
I lived on Broadway, north of Reichling, only a few blocks from Daniel Phelan.
Once a nice school in a nice town, now a Leftist s***hole with mostly non-English speaking students. The school is going to change its name I hear because Le Conte was a racist.
By that logic, Berkeley should change its name because George Berkeley, its namesake, was a slave owner.
we do,
Stewart School K-2 and 4-6
Hemlock School 3
Learned to love my country and be proud of her achievements.
Same here. I had 5 schools in as many States and countries by the 7th grade. I had 8 schools by graduation.
We used to pledge allegiance to the US flag every day, and even acknowledged God while doing it.
We were living pretty dangerously. /s
