It’s always amusing to see which traditional liberals have been pushed too far by leftists. It is, however, the most blunt he’s been about it.
I’m not worried about a few dozen people with swastikas who want to replace the Jews, because they’re our past. They have no resonance on university campuses today.
But the hard, hard left? Anti-Semitism, anti-Christianity, intolerance for speech. It’s the future. These are our leaders.
In 50 years of teaching at Harvard, Stanford, NYU, Hebrew University, you name it, I have never met a group of less courageous people in my whole life than tenured Harvard and tenured other professors. They are so terrified of their own shadow. They don’t want to do anything that upsets a student.
Clips like this are why I’m most interested in seeing Prager’s No Safe Spaces. “Free speech” has a habit of being framed as conservatives vs hyper sensitive liberals. But a lot of the people have been interviewed for the movie aren’t exactly people you’ll be seeing at CPAC.

It is. The only way I can figure it is Dersh sees himself as the arbiter of what liberalism is or should be, and thus it’s OK to condemn some extreme factions. Kinda like we do with McCain and Romney.
In general the Democrats are much more consistent in standing behind all progs and libs no matter what. The Bernie thing really ripped them to shreds.

Yeah - what has happened to him? He is actually saying reasonable, logical stuff on some occasions.

Keep in mind the folks behind Door #2 are pro-abortionists ( a "right" that isn't explicitly in the Constitution) and Dershowitz is a rabid anti-gun abolitionist (and the 2nd Amendment is IN the Constitution).
I know you can't always get what you want: the Soviets were our allies in WWII and some vile creatures walked alongside (crashed the party of?) honorable Deplorables at Free Speech rallies last year.
But my point is that Dershowitz, while seeming to be on the MAGA train, won't likely support overturning Roe vs. Wade but wishes the Second Amendment had never come about. He could likely "go rouge" at any moment. I like him in theory but he should be treated with caution, IMHO.

I respect Dershovitz for his honesty and intellectual brilliance, but would never put him on the court... for the reasons you state.

When it comes to the phrase “Democratic Party,” Dershowitz has melted like jelly. He has found it impossible his entire life to extricate himself from a Democratic Party that has become an enemy of our democratic republic. He has to date voted for them no matter what. Talk is cheap and he’s a good talker. His thought processes are not logical when it comes to the phrase, “Democratic Party.”
For instance, he pretends now that he did know about BHO and Louis Farrakhan being close friends and political associates in Chicago. That’s BS. That fact was well known to anyone paying attention. He pretends he didn’t know and had no inkling that the Obama administration was deep in with and a pawn of the Muslim Brotherhood, and their allied groups. For forty years he steadfastly claimed again and again to whoever would listen that he is a “lifelong Democrat,” doing so even decades after such a pronouncement made any sense, in the face of the Democratic Party’s ever increasing racism and pro=terrorism and anti-Judaic-Christian society and supportive of the enemies of Israel.
Is there any reason beside Obama’s running under the Democratic Party name that Dershowitz voted for him? Was it because Obama had one time gotten a job as a failed part-time instructor for a law course and to Dersh that made him “a law professor” like himself?
A barrage of public pleas in recent months for him to finally start thinking for himself has led to Dershowitz tries at backtracking statements. I have almost no faith in the logic ability of anyone, in any walk of life or with any level of education, who would, not just once, but twice vote for Obama to become the POTUS. Spending a career at Harvard infected him with the contagion.
Let’s hope that Alan “Cognitive Dissonance” Dershowitz, law school graduate and articulate speaker, will yet truly think for himself, untethered from the magnetism of the sound, “Democratic Party,” and in doing so, connect the two sides of his brain.
He’s clinging to the common sense smart people on the right because he is very involved in the Epstein Pedo world. He didn’t just defend him and get him a cushy light jail and long home confinement sentence. He took the gift of a 16 year old girl numerous times from Epstein. Virginia Roberts remembers having various kinds of sex with Dershowitz in different states and in the air.
People who knowingly have sex with minor sex slaves are not great constitutionalists. They aren’t great moral people. Maybe Prager gives him the benefit of the doubt but I believe Virginia. She was a very honest witness. She could have made up all kinds of things about President Clinton, having seen him on the island, but she only told what she saw, which was pretty much nothing. Dershowitz is dirty and he knows if you spout right of center, conservatives will protect you.
