‘Demonic’ child screams and rampages throughout eight hour flight (video)
Metro U.K. ^ | 2/14/2018 | Helen Smith

Posted on 02/15/2018 8:53:38 AM PST by simpson96

A passenger on a flight from Germany to New York documented a child’s eight-hour-long tantrum.

The man began filming the three-year-old climbing on seats and screaming before the Lufthansa flight had even taken off.

The footage was uploaded to YouTube by Shane Townley with the title: ‘Demonic child screams and runs through an 8 hour flight.’

He writes: ‘Watch as this kid runs and screams throughout the entire flight while the mother does little to nothing to stop him. 3 years old on a 8 hour flight from Germany to Newark NJ. He never quits!’

The footage begins with the boy’s mother asking Delta staff for the WiFi to be switched on to distract the child with an iPad but the flight attendant replies that the WiFi is not available yet.

However, once the flight is underway and the WiFi has been enabled, the little boy’s tantrum continues.

At one point, the child sits on top of the seats, hitting the ceiling of the plane with his fists, while his mother asks him to sit and begs him to calm down.

A fellow passenger can be heard saying ‘that poor woman’ as the mother struggles to control her unruly toddler.

Half way through the flight, the little boy can be seen running up and down the aisle of the plane screaming and shouting.

Other passengers can be seen covering their ears to try and drown out the toddler.(snip)

As the flight continues, Shane gives hourly updates documenting the journey with captions on the screen.

He writes: ‘Hour 2. Demonic screams take over the plane.’

When the plane finally arrives in Newark Airport, passengers looked relieved to be disembarking the plane.

‘What a nightmare’ one passenger can be heard saying as she leaves the flight.

I’ve had kids kick my chair from behind on the plane and I said nothing except made the “stare” at the parent not to do it again..

He just needs his little ass whipped and put in a room alone with nothing to do and told this is the consequence for his action. He apparently does this all the time. Not just because he is on an airplane.

My son sassed his mother ONCE about 30 years ago. I never laid a hand on him but told him if it ever happened again he would remember it the rest of his life. He is a well adjusted and responsible 36 now.

He needs a painfully memorable significant emotional event in his young life so that he can survive to have an old life.

Perhaps refurbish aircraft bathrooms to render them completely soundproof if a passenger (or passenger with unruly child) needs to be relocated there?
That is a desirable jetliner construction feature, anyway.

Same here but in the presence of a flight attendant I got up, looked straight at the kid and told the parent that their child had to stop kicking the back of my seat and behave.

I’ll do that next time with the flight attendant in our presence. In case the other party makes stupid accusations, it’s gonna be “he said, she said”. The last time it happened I had a 12 hour flight to Hong Kong a year ago, I was THIS close to strangling the little brat. I’m not even sure how they got seats on Business Class for crying out loud..

I'd guess some type of autism....that high pitched screaming is a clue...

but lets just crucify the poor mother..

we're all so perfect out there and we have such perfect children....

and we're not a Christian nation anymore so can get off on jumping on some poor mentally challenged kid and his mother...

This would make it louder for a little while but then peace and quiet for the rest of the trip.

"...we are all so perfect..."

The mother should explore fractional jet ownership or hire a private chartered flight for her special little angel.
The other passengers did not sign-on for hours of pain imprisoned in a thin tube of pressurized aluminum, carbon fiber, and glass.

True
Even Duct tape can’t fix stupid.
But it can silence it.

Silence is golden
Duct tape is silver.

Funny that, 60 years ago we never heard of autism and never saw much in the way of symptomatic children either. I can remember a few unruly kids but they soon became ruly.

No sympathy from me.

I’ve seen plenty of autistic kids and know that they can be high energy, but this kind of non-stop behavior is not normal even for them.

They eventually wear themselves out.

Eight hours of non-stop suggests the other passengers assessment of the kids condition if accurate.

And the mother is used to this or she would not have been begging him to stop. If this was new behavior, she would have been trying other things that had worked in the past to get him to settle down.

Too many parents feel their little darlings should be able to express themselves and have no limits set on their behavior, and never ever under any circumstances, be told they are wrong.

He started doing it on the runway well before take off, I doubt it had anything to do with inner ear stuff.

Agree and concur with you 1000%.

Claiming this whole lame “autism” thing is a new-age and hippy-dippy way for parents to shirk responsibility.
The misbehavior seen from kids *everyday* now might be something you observed ONCE in your lifetime in previous generations.

Paraphrasing Dr. Jordan Peterson here.

Liberals think that children and humans in general are naturally good. This means that if someone is “bad”, we universally blame the parents first, society second. This is why liberals’ default solution is socialized child-rearing and revolutionizing society.

In day to day life, it means imposing discipline and rules is considered an affront on the assumed sacred, moral child and thus bad. At the same time, it lets many liberals jump in and abuse parents for disciplining a child, how dare you spank them, you’re torturing the innocent child.

The lack of discipline and proper boundaries is why so many of these children are out of control. And while the parents intentionally do nothing but appease, as this parent did, they don’t realize they are harming their child.

The kid is learning this is OK because it isn’t punished, and the child will eventually be shunted off to special ed and prison because Mom didn’t spank him or force him to sit quietly on the flight.

I once offered a Benadryl to a mother on a flight and you would have thought I’d offered her poison for her child. ‘I WILL NOT MEDICATE MY CHILD UNNECESSARILY’. I said, ‘your child would be happier’. I was glared at for the rest of the coast to coast flight.

Why did you offer it? Was the child being disruptive?

If this had been the first time ever that the mother had observed this behavior in Junior she would have been crying for help and desperate for any assistance at seeing this level of extended out of control behavior for the first time. Instead, she tried to "manage" while being oblivious to the impact of this extremely disruptive behavior.

I read on another thread that the mother was overheard telling a flight attendant that her child had behavioral issues. Just sayin'...
