A passenger on a flight from Germany to New York documented a childs eight-hour-long tantrum.
The man began filming the three-year-old climbing on seats and screaming before the Lufthansa flight had even taken off.
The footage was uploaded to YouTube by Shane Townley with the title: Demonic child screams and runs through an 8 hour flight.
He writes: Watch as this kid runs and screams throughout the entire flight while the mother does little to nothing to stop him. 3 years old on a 8 hour flight from Germany to Newark NJ. He never quits!
The footage begins with the boys mother asking Delta staff for the WiFi to be switched on to distract the child with an iPad but the flight attendant replies that the WiFi is not available yet.
However, once the flight is underway and the WiFi has been enabled, the little boys tantrum continues.
At one point, the child sits on top of the seats, hitting the ceiling of the plane with his fists, while his mother asks him to sit and begs him to calm down.
A fellow passenger can be heard saying that poor woman as the mother struggles to control her unruly toddler.
Half way through the flight, the little boy can be seen running up and down the aisle of the plane screaming and shouting.
Other passengers can be seen covering their ears to try and drown out the toddler.(snip)
As the flight continues, Shane gives hourly updates documenting the journey with captions on the screen.
He writes: Hour 2. Demonic screams take over the plane.
When the plane finally arrives in Newark Airport, passengers looked relieved to be disembarking the plane.
What a nightmare one passenger can be heard saying as she leaves the flight.

Oh look, a Future school shooter.
Everyone sees the problem but nobody does anything about it.
Even as the flight progressed...why not divert to another site (before reaching the Atlantic) in order to restore order?
Is this not what airlines do when an adult is behaving in a similar manner. Actually, I've seen adults removed for far less.
Classic case of poor impulse control. Kid has a bright future, eh?
“If Obama had a son...”
Looks like a white kid. No Bama blame here.
Never the less a gag or a shot of thorazine would have helped. Perhaps on the trip back it can be arranged.
We don’t get a good look at the child, but guessing from his size/age, the fact his communication is all the same continuous, almost infant, non-verbal utterances, and that he can’t be “confined” - that he has some form of autism or developmental disability.
It would explain a lot, and give me much more sympathy for the mother who probably has no other choices in her travel.
I was on a flight where the kid in front of me was standing on his seat, turning around and doing various things like screaming, talking loud, banging the seat etc....
Mom did nothing.
So I did something
Kid was not an issue for the remainder of the flight.
Kid sounds possessed. Too bad an exorcist wasn’t on board lol
NyQuil...
Holy crap. I flew to Spain one time with a kid screaming, but the kid was in some kind of pain, it was apparent, and I resigned myself to it. He couldn’t help it, and his parents couldn’t. What are you going to do?
This seemed different to me. Like an angry kid, not hurt.
I cannot imagine that, but it is why I do not fly without sound cancelling headphones.
My God.
A case my old buddy would have described as “Time for an ass-kicking contest and that kid provides the ass”. Although in this case I think I’d start with the Mother.
With those vocal cords, the kid probably has a career ahead as a radio talk show host, or rock singer.
Autistic?
No worse than a college campus after hillary loses an election
I once offered a Benadryl to a mother on a flight and you would have thought Id offered her poison for her child. I WILL NOT MEDICATE MY CHILD UNNECESSARILY. I said, your child would be happier. I was glared at for the rest of the coast to coast flight.
Clearly something very seriously wrong. No three year old can carry on like that for 8 hours unless in serious pain or terrified or drugged.
A simple temper tantrum would have exhausted him and he would have fallen asleep.
Every and I mean every other passenger on that flight should have their ticket cost refunded.
She can stop traveling. Her needs don’t outweigh those of the other passengers. They “need” to travel, too. No sympathy for her, whatsoever. All sympathy for people who should have raised the roof with the airline over accepting behavior like that in a closed cigar tube they couldn’t escape.
Curious about what you did that was so effective?
He was afraid of his own shadow and terrified of the dentist. He proceeded to scream bloody murder. The dentist asked his mother to leave the room. Then the dentist put his hand over Qx's mouth. Qx bit him. The dentist adjusted his hand and then proceeded to pinch Qx's nose off and on until Qx decided that breathing was more important than screaming.
Qx's mother asked how the dentist achieved the miracle. From then on she was an evangelist of that technique almost whenever she was around a screaming kid.
I suppose now it might be considered child abuse but it shouldn't be. An out of control kid is a danger to himself and others.
Think of Star Trek and Spock
Yes. True. Maybe the mom has never had to take her autistic child anywhere before, so didn't realize the problems he would cause, We just don't know all the facts. Its clear to me the airline was warned in advance something is wrong with the child, because the behavior of their staff indicates they are trying to work with the mom. Its probably also why they have said nothing publicly either (privacy laws).
Anyway, I'm just trying to provide some context beyond the "bad parent, bad kid" narrative.
