This thread is a friendly collaborative place for FReepers to analyze information and share opinons. FReepers have a wide variety of reasons for investigating Q Anon content; this is not the appropriate place to criticize or badger those who choose to use some of their time in this manner.

Now that is strange because, ostensibly, the autists weren't chosen...they merely showed up on 4/8chan and started analyzing Q's drops.
This "chosen" comment implies something else entirely.
I found this insider/commenter on the Q anon phenomenon very insightful.

4/8chan are autists, they were before Q. They were memeing (?) kek during the campaign, behind Trump (remember Hillary declaring the green frog was a white supremist or some such thing.)
Q picked that board (4 chan), knowing they would dig in and investigate. That’s what they do when they are interested and they do it well.
Rooster. It’s my understanding that Q started posting on 4chan then got trolled/hacked and move to 8chan and got some kind of personal code or something from them to make secure drops. I think Q did “choose” them. Also he knows they are weaponized autists.
I think that advances some interesting theories.

Chosen by whom implies that Q is a larger organization than I previously thought...perhaps Q is part of the NSA but still closely positioned near the POTUS (BTW the entire use of someone like Q fits completely with Trump's trickster side...that's why he was sent to NYMA as a teen).

No it is not Science Fiction. This was an actual program, and various universities participated. The one I remember the most about was Ted Kazinski the Unabomber.
He was a very bright kid. Promoted into the next grade up or so in school. So he was no longer in class with the few friends he had. Then he went to university when 16 - Harvard if I recall correctly.
They started with a large group, and kept narrowing that group down - retaining the most susceptible each time. IIRC, the students were initially told it was a special group selected for talent and praised etc in the beginning.
No telling how much more effective the program is today.
