Obamas' official portraits unveiled

Barack and Michelle Obama re-emerged on the public stage Monday in Washington, only this time for an event that has nothing to do with politics.

The former first couple's official portraits were unveiled at the Smithsonian's National Portrait Gallery, a rite of passage for most former presidents, all of whom have their portraits hanging in the museum.

Michelle’s “dress” looks like a blanket or a comforter for a queen sized mattress.

Some questioned having “White Sox” man Barack posing in front of the ivy covered walls of Wrigley Field.

Michelle’s ‘portrait’ looks like the sort of mural art you see painted on freeway sidings.

It also looks nothing like her.

I wonder if it is still a White House tradition to display portraits of the last five presidents in a prominent hall location? If so, the current portraits displayed would be of Reagan through Obama.

Totally agree, Windflier...Mooch’s portrait looks NOTHING like her...

First of all the hair is all fake...she does not sport that kind of hair...no AA does..so they all depend on wigs and hairpieces...She and Oprah are the worst for doing that. totally fake and phony.

Wondering if that Museum will allow DJT and Malina portraits in the same building, as seriously as Washington seems to hate everything about them...It is JUST US AMERICANS WHO SUPPORT THEM...AND WE ARE THE ONES THAT MATTER...

I think a general protest should be made about Mooch’s photo...it is a fake painting and is of someone else.

Obama’s does only vaguely look like him but is not as far off the target as Mooch’s.

Whereever they are hung, photos of the principals should be included right along side.
