Does President Trump Now Have the Authority to FIRE Government Employees? Going back it was very difficult to fire a Government employee. They were suspended, but not fired, exceptin rare cases. Which leads to the question, why is Peter Strzok and Lisa Page still employed by the FBI?
My dad was in the army long before I was born. He used to say government workers were like missiles; you couldn't fire them and they hardly ever worked. Of course he would use that for state and federal employees interchangeably.
Through an ‘executive order’ can he not do pretty much anything he wants?
Regardless - He can order the United States military to bomb the hell out of any country, and could even order them to bomb California. So while he may not have the ‘authority’ to fire somebody, he could have the military bomb their location and eliminate them... Thereby making the need to actually fire them redundant.
Of course; always has had, if it involves and adversely affects the Constitutional functioning of the Executive branch of government, according to the empowering sections of the Constitution.
The empowering sections for the Legislative branch cannot adversely affect the proper functioning of the other two branches no matter how many "laws" they pass.
Had that separation been violated, and no challenge was made, a rogue conspiring congress could allow abuses by a rogue president, and precedent would have been set, if not cemented forever, as the Kenyan African criminally fake president demonstrated; so long as the co-conspirators Congress went along.
As demonstrated, We The People lack standing to challenge the crimes.
If a corrupt Judicial is also complicit, the treasonous dirty coup is a done deal.
As long as nothing else changes, what are the chances of reversing that coup?
Having three perverts (one male, 2 females) on the Supreme Court is a never discussed exacerbating factor.
FedGov unions were allowed in by a JFK Executive Order, likewise a Trump Executive Order could decertify them and they would be gone. (Even FDR thought government unions were a bad idea!) You would then need legislation to keep another EO from bringing them back.
At the state, county & local level it will be much harder to get rid of them because usually legislation\ordinances allow them. Still it could be done if the will is there to do it.
we’ll know in june. if the SCOTUS rules that union dues are speech then fed unions go away and terminating non productive fed employees will be possible. reports indicate were likely to be pleasantly surprised.
You are wrong.
No ordinary "law" can modify the Constitutionally defined separation of powers.
Only a Constitutional Amendment can do that.
As we can see, if no one (aside from Congress) can challenge illegal congressional actions, anything is possible. Even a smooth-talking gorilla can become president.
I am sure there are a number of desirable positions.
Like cleaning out all the Federal cat boxes.
With their tongues.
Most school districts have ‘RUBBER ROOMS’ as they are called where teachers are put in limbo, since they cannot be fired.

What is the nastiest assignment they could be sent on?
Then create something 3 times as worse and send them there.
RINO talk show host Hugh Hewitt used to be General Counsel to the Office of Personnel Management under Reagan. He has detailed on his show how it is virtually IMPOSSIBLE to fire a Federal Employee (short of when they go to prison).
That needs to be changed YESTERDAY.
Yeah, and robbing us bond holders of 90% value of our bonds. My $38000 became $3800 overnight.
Nope - he can fire those he appoints but not delve into the lower levels.
I seriously question this.
Has it ever been challenged?
When was the last time?
Unintended consequence mistakes can (must?) be changed.
It is impossible to accept that a bureaucrat civil service employee can neutralize the presidency. That was never the intent of the civil service laws.
Are the other two branches similarly fatally compromised?
Short answer, NO.
Adult answer?
The odds of Obungo or the Fat almost president Cow any time in the next couple of generations?
0.00001%
There are two types of DC swamp creatures. There are political appointees and regular GS swampers. The political appointees can be fired at will. The GS swampers get “due process”. But they can be terminated.
Desperate times... etc.
Who died, made you the new God and gave you the right to make that assertion as law?
I think a special delegation to Haiti would be more appropriate. Living “among the people”, of course. They can be assigned to manage all the money the Clintons scammed and never delivered.
I think you need to rethink your position. All good when someone you like and trust is occupying the office of the Presidency, but it may be very damaging when the President is not someone you like or trust to do the right thing for the right reasons.
