That would assume pharma execs are (1) using the cures for themselves and families but somehow keeping it quiet or (2) withholding treatment for themselves and family members, letting them die of cancer in order to generate extra income for their employers.

Neither scenario is likely given human nature.

Modern medicine is about symptoms and not systems. Everything is about the magic pill of dubious efficacy. Eminence trumps evidence.

In all fairness, we derailed decades ago. Decades ago, the method of corruption was established by the likes of Proctor & Gamble, Ancel Keys, and the American Heart Association.

I think it’s highly unlikely that there will ever be ‘A’ pharmaceutical cure for cancer in general. We may find different ways of managing and treating different cancers.

You should go read the two threads pertaining to the event you are referring to and the links provided. Read the discussion by Q, Anon reserachers and yes, your fellow Freepers. Then tell me we have no proof.
