The Southern California teacher facing a firestorm after he was recorded by a student bashing the military in a profane classroom rant has been placed on administrative leave and removed from all assignments he'd be given as a city councilman.
Gregory Salcido, the El Rancho High School teacher and elected Pico Rivera city councilman, will not be able to enter the classroom while school officials conduct an investigation into the recording, the Whittier Daily News reported late Monday.
“One thing we are telling people for sure is that the commitment of the board and the superintendent and the staff is to really get to the bottom of this for the community,” School Superintendent Karling Aguilera-Fort told the paper.
Another teacher has taken over his history and government classes for the foreseeable future, he said.
Salcido, 49, told the paper he is not granting interviews at this time.

This one is not a pervert; he has 3 kids. Just stupid with anger issues.
As long as there is no disruption or distraction of the class, students must be allowed to record classroom activity.
A competent teacher would never object.
Not even as smart as a typical military man....
Generally, wiretap laws apply.
California, where this took place, is one of 10 states requiring every party to a conversation to consent to recording (known as "two-party consent").
I am not a history teacher and could give them lots of truth.
the one thing not being talked about was his contempt for students that are not in the top 20 percent. he seemed to equate kids that struggle in the area of education as being worthless in society and thought the only thing they were good for was an organization he has contempt for. The military is great for all kids and should be encouraged in the brightest and offered up as an alternative to those who graduate but are not quite ready for the university . I myself was one of those kids that struggled in the area of education and I bet he was very abusive to the kids that struggled to get a C grade and only once or twice during there high school years got an A grade. this is the type of teacher that can destroy one of theses kids future because of the garbage out of his mouth.
Knowing the teachers’ union and their thug tactics, he will be placed on PAID administrative leave. In other words he will be putting in some nice comfy vacation time.

You may have unwittingly stumbled on the specific type of service he can perform for the military personnel.
Except I don’t think he’s worthy to touch their poop—much less their rears.
